Any of you, have a recommendation of which one to buy n y? Preferably under 2.5k. Planning on getting a concept 2 rower when they become available in November but will like to add an elliptical too. Thanks for any suggestions!
So sorry, I haven’t logged in for a while and missed your question!

my elliptical is old but it still works great, and is on level with the ones I have used in gyms. It’s a SportsArt E82.

Not everything I need to know: Is there any word on whether it works via AirPlay (e.g. to a smart TV with built-in AirPlay support)? Seems like it should, but maybe the latency is too high?
Great question - I was wondering the exact same thing. The Hisense TV I have in my basement just got an update with AirPlay - I'd love if AirPlay were supported as no extra investment would be required on my part to get Apple Fitness running on my TV.

What nonsense that you can’t use this on Apple TV without an Apple Watch. If you can use it with an iPhone and iPad without an Apple Watch, this is just a money grab. So pissed. I have a series 2 watch and won’t be able to do a damn thing with fitness+ now. So pissed. The Apple one subscription I got for the family is more and more a joke. Apple Arcade is awful, News isn’t really doing much for me, and now I can’t even use fitness on my tv, where it should be used. I’m not going to hold my phone in front of my face while trying to work out. So dumb!!!

My biggest remaining questions:
- Multiple user support. Letting two people seamlessly do a group exercise together would be a big plus.
- How often are new classes, and do you have access to all past classes? For example, if someone does a treadmill or yoga workout everyday, is the release cadence fast enough that they’re always seeing new content?
- Will this work on the Apple TV app that’s been filtering out to recent TV sets, or will it require AirPlay streaming from an iOS device?

I’m generally pretty excited about the service and can’t wait to try it out.

edit: It'd also be nice if there was an option to display the workout overlay on top of any playing video (or any app, really) when there's an active workout being tracked on the Watch. Lots of people watch TV/movies on their workout machines
They did mention that multiple user support is not well... supported sadly. This I think is an easy feature for them to implement and should.

BTW thank you macrumors for answering that question as I was looking everywhere for that answer. Would be nice if me and the kiddo or the gf could work out at the same time. Little competition/motivation to do it. Feature request?

loving it so far and really has motivated me to use it and love how great it works with the Apple Watch. legs are killing this morning though.

even better is got 4 months free due to the free trial issue.

they say they are releasing new workouts each week

Just signed up for Apple One to get Apple Fitness for the family. Annnnnnd it works for one person at a time. My wife and I wanted to use it together. Surely this is an oversight. It says the plan works for up to 5 people and it's definitely priced at a huge premium for 5 people. What gives? How do we get both of our watches syncing up and tracking the exercise routines?

This works great on Apple TV as it asks you at the beginning who is using it and you can select that persons Apple Watch. Does anyone know if it works the same on iPad and allows you to select which users Apple Watch is doing the workout?

Sucks I have to use this with AppleTV to get it on my big screen. Not even OSX?!

It’s another £100+ I need to shell out on equipment. Unless there’s a work around?

I've only done a few workouts but I'm loving it so far. If they keep updating it, this alone will make it worth what I'm paying for Apple One ❤️

No iPad unfortunately.

Our household has 2 MacBooks, 2 Apple Watches and 2 iPhones. I personally have no need for an iPad

I think it’s kinda crap that that there is no other method for getting this up on the big screen. With the AW and AF+ that’s a good amount of cash spent already and I’d really expect Apple to allow you to not have to buy an ATV too

I have a 3 month trial and will submit a feature request to Apple. If. I thing changes then I’d rather just carry on as I am.

Been LOVING this new feature too! Three months in and nearly 35 lbs lighter since it launched :). Of course we changed some of our habits in the kitchen which is where loosing weight comes in, but I haven’t felt this fit in a decade. We bought a treadmill and a Keiser m3i to use in our new home gym along with some TRX straps and dumbells. Overall a pretty great home gym set up. We use this with our AppleTV on most days, but when my wife & I want to workout together we can use our iPads or phones easily enough. We use Apple Fitness + nearly every day, using H.I.I.T., Cycling, Treadmill, Dance, Yoga, Core and Mindful Cool down classes. There’s such a great variety. Closing all three of our rings has become an obsession haha! Good job Apple.
