So this is what happens to your hair when you use it? No thank you I’ll pass 😂 Apple really needs to go back in their advertising department and rethink what they’re trying to express when they’re showing this product. Some of their ads look totally atrocious just like this one. I expect better from Apple. They really needs to go back in their advertising department. I expect better from Apple this is just garbage Imagery of their products.
I wouldn’t think the nerds using it are big worried about their hair style?

You will be readily identifiable as a sociopath walking around with one of these monstrosities strapped to your face.

I was initially self-conscious of wearing AirPods in public as well, due to how different they looked at the time. It’s probably only a matter of time before the vision pro is deemed socially acceptable to be used in public, and probably sooner than later too.

I mean to be fair, I still chuckle at people wearing AirPods when I'm out in public. Nothing has changed there. They look as stupid as they always have, to me.

Nothing will make this thing look cool or appropriate. Ever. Newton 2.0.

Point being that in order for this to be a success Apple will have to sell millions and millions and millions of them. The fact that it messes up your hair is just one of MANY serious hurdles it will have to clear in order to achieve that goal. That’s why many of us are… skeptical about it.

For the price you pay for this I wish Apple would somehow make it compatible with our video game consoles, or at least let us connect 2D video input. Ridiculous to spend $5,500AU on VR headset only to have to buy another headset for your playstation, and another for your PC games. In 10 years time my closet will be stuffed full of various VR headsets piled up next to my plastic guitar controllers and Wii balance board.

Spy photo of the 4 hour battery just revealed:

You do realize you are only able to have one (1) Mac monitor in the Vision Pro, right? Also, how long do you think you will be able to type in the air? I recommend holding your arms out and pretend to type using the Vision Pro and see how long you can type. The full two hours of battery life? Doubt it.
You do realize that you’ll be able to have as many monitors as you like and that it’s made to use a keyboard as well, plus unlimited battery life while it’s plugged in. Yes you can add an external Mac monitor to what you’re looking at, but why would you when you’re wearing the most advanced spacial computing device (that is the most advanced Mac) built in?

Not really. People saw a pressing need for mobile phones. That in and of itself renders the comparison moot.
Seriously? Everyone had land line phones at the time, there was no compelling use for huge clunky expensive and expensive to use mobile phones. People were actually OK with being outdoors without a phone since humans started roaming the planet.

Maybe, but tech had been moving that way for years regardless with car phones and pagers/beepers and the like.

Lots of 'landline' phones were cordless and it was common for people to use pagers it was just an extension of that.

I got a motorola bag phone very soon after they were available, and I had an overpowered CB Radio before that -- my commute is mostly rural and I knew I *needed* it before I could get it, and it's no surprise to me everyone else agreed later on. I also have bought many many cell phones of all kinds after that!

That image certainly shows how for some people you need to tie up your hair to wear a Vision pro. Yes it looks kinda huge on one's head.
There's no reason someone with long hair would need to tie it up to wear a Vision Pro, if anything more hair offers more cushioning. The model wears her hair like that, it's a common hairstyle for that type of hair.
