Apple Gifts Employees With T-Shirt and Printed Credo for the Holidays

Could have been worse...the credo could have been sent as a PDF!
yah. It was when their computers were updated yearly. Since Tim has taken over, our 6 year old mid level 12 core Mac Pro's are better then anything they sell today.
I gave Tim the benefit of doubt with their rediculous decision to remove a CPU and expandibility on the 2013 Mac Pro but then not to update it for 3+ years and counting is unforgivably incompetent.
Tim has taken my 30 years of loyalty and a champion of selling their products into complete disgust and negativity.
So maybe it's not aliens that all of a sudden turned us into children and negativity. Just Maybe Tim's decisions and lack of action has something to do with it.
apple isn't rolling in the cash thanks to their employees.. they're rolling in cash due to the execs and a small handful of employees..
the people who are apple employees could just as likely be starbucks employees.. and like apple, starbucks isn't rolling in the cash due to these people.
i'm not trying to discount or downtalk the importance of a solid workforce.. just trying to put some perspective on it regarding "the company is rolling in cash thanks to their employees".

it's a gift... gifts don't have to be hundreds or thousands of dollars to be sincere or appreciated.
if you're expecting a bigger present or a cash sum from a company at xmas then i'm pretty sure you should either A) move way up in the chain / play a more important role.. B) don't work for apple retail (or any retail for that matter).
idk, i'm kinda under the impression that the people claiming 'apple is out of touch' regarding this are ,in fact, out-of-touch themselves

A picture of Campus 2 would have been more of a hit than this insult. I wonder what Tim's bonus was.The design resembles the shape/outline of Campus 2 lol.
Ridiculous. I own a small company with 3 employees. Each of them got a $500 christmas bonus. Yes, thats a big chunk of change out of my pocket, but these guys are busting their butts every day to make me money. Sad that a billion dollar company can't do more for the people that are at the ground level.

Can't you understand? Apple Retail employees mean absolutely nothing to Apple Corporate. It's not even that retail employees get a cheap shirt, it's that they're also given a placard used to continue their brainwashing. There is no bonus for retail employees, nor do they make any commission.
I know. I worked there for eight, crushing years.

When Louis CK made $1 million dollars from his comedy special he donated $280 000 to charity and gave his staff $250 000. I might not like his comedy but that kind of generosity represents the true meaning of "Think Different".

This is hilarious...."That GIFT they got sucks". A bunch of people criticizing a company for what they GIVE their employees. So what about the $5k in FREE stock that the employees got over the last few years??? You see Apple gives to their employees regularly. Free stock, extra cash to buy apple products, AMAZING benefits like 401k matching, employee stock programs to buy stock at a discount, and the best health insurance you can buy and oh yeah even PART TIME staff get full health coverage...almost no company does that. They also get discounts on things outside of Apple from Disneyland tickets to free travel on Amtrak and other train systems to commute and discounted Car purchases. Just about every electronics company gives Apple employees a huge discount like 40% off for purchasing and go yeah during the holiday season at Apple they have special pricing on the coolest stuff they sell from 3rd party companies...You won't see any Apple employees complaining about not feeling like they are valued. Its also why Apple has literally thousands of applicants per open job in some cases. People are leaving other companies at the drop of a hat to join Apple. They also have a very low turnover...some stores go months without hiring people. Thats AGES for a big retailer. How often do you think Best Buy loses employees? Its funny someone mentioned what they get at 5 and 10 year anniversaries...What other RETAIL store keeps people around that log that they have planned gifts for 5 and 10 year employees?
They don't pay that much because Apple is so generous, but because the talent is so scarce in this industry. You'd get the same (if not more) from Microsoft or google.
