$30 a CD? This is how my friends and I did it back in the day: 12 CDs for the price of 1 through BMG music club

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/n...-more-bmg-music-service-ends-in-june-20090310

and sometimes they were half off...

Then just "borrow" CDs from friends to expand your collection.

Mate,
I'm not American. I lived in a country where CDs and records were priced at one of the most expensive levels in the world and didn't have such clubs. Besides, there was no burning CDs when I was young, I was there at the beginning of the CD revolution. We copied to tape which was fun, but the quality was poor. Things like music and gasoline were so much cheaper in the states.

I thought Apple's was $19.99, but Google Music definitely gives you more, at bare minimum, you get Youtube red included and that eliminates virtually all ads on Youtube. It also gives you the ability to pick exactly what songs you want to listen to and the library is far more extensive than anything Apple has offered.
Apple Music allows you to play whatever song you want. Can you give an example of the extensive library that Google music has and Apple Music doesn't? I came from Spotify and I have yet to find an instance where Apple Music is missing something Spotify had.

I just got two free "Deezer" (ugh, that stupid name) 6 month subs for just being a UK "Three" carrier customer - I can get as many as I want, you just need as many disposable PAYG SIMs as you want accounts. This is no big deal.

Employees use and are familiar with your own product. Plus you get to announce what, another 100k "active subscriptions" in your reports?

Well I got 2500 dollars of bonus for the holiday. I rather take cash than some crap that I care less
Who says that employees can't be getting bonuses that are individualized and separate from holiday gifts as well?
My company sent me a Christmas card
And that's already more than what many companies do.
Oh for goodness sakes. Most companies give their staff nothing. I bet you guys throw your toys across the room at your mother on Christmas morning because they just aren't good enough for you. Grow up!.
What is that saying about gifts and horses?

I have absolutely no doubt some Apple employees will get bonuses this year and I'm sure others at certain grade levels get stock options.

Boy you ain't kidding. I went in to my local Apple Store to get the Lighting to SD Card adapter. I asked if they have them she said, "What do you want to do with it?" I said, "So I can import pictures from my camera." She said, "I don't think you can do that, let me go ask." She came back and was like, "I don't think that is possible." I had to open my iPhone and show her the product on Apple's website and then explain it to her. Then she made it sound like I she knew what I was talking about all along. And then see said, "I thought you were talking about from your iPad."
Yip most of the folk I have came across in Apple Stores surprisingly new less than me about products , I was asking about Apple TV it was said that since he didn't own one he couldn't really answer my question! We can you ask someone who can then ? Really thought theses guys were all knowledgeable about there products this just proves how wrong I was

Didn't Apple give everyone free iPhones when they originally came out? Not as a Christmas gift, but just to put them in the hands of more users? That would have been a great gift. Why not do the same with the watch?

Flip man did you do any maths before you posted that? That's a lot of clams.

Not that I've tested Apple music, but I'd imagine there's a lot they don't have. Stuff that is minor from the 70s and 80s. But I'm just guessing... Maybe I'll have to start my three month free trial to check! That's not to say Google has it either though.

Somehow I think this is going to get around and they will up it to a year. lol Because 9 months is Fn cheap as hell. WTF. 没有意思!
9 months is 9 more than no months at all (and if 9 months is "cheap as hell" then why would 3 months longer be anything more meaningful?).

C'mon Eddie, why not 12 months? Lmao.
If it was 12 months, it would expire around the holidays and people would expect another year of free subscription. It's not a compensation, it's a gift which Apple probably pays for. This way, everybody knows that it's a one time thing. Around this time next year, they will probably receive something different.

I worked at an Apple retail store back when .Mac was a paid subscription service and all employees got it for free. I can't believe they don't do the same thing for Apple Music. I realize the margins are lower on Apple Music than they were on .Mac but still. Talk about being cheap.

Well, for my current music library, half of songs are just NOT available in Apple Music.
Plus, I am not living a country where "unlimited" data is so popular.
No, I do not need Apple Music. But hey, if someone could give me a full year sub for free, I think I can try it out. At least, play with Apple's poor anime music library.
