Generally people with excess income are stupider than people that do not have excess income. LOLSo you're saying people are stupid?

I`m really not understanding what is going on at Apple this days... They do things like this time to time, but not allowing 2 of there flagship devices to be connected together is not like them at all...
Sure thing. Someone who makes more money than they use is clearly stupider than someone living paycheck to paycheck. /sGenerally people with excess income are stupider than people that do not have excess income. LOL
So Intel processors are delayed because Steve Jobs isn't around to pressure them? Thanks for my laugh for the day.
Careful what you wish for. He's gonna sacrifice RAM and other specs to make the iMac thinner and lighter because "that's what people want!!"That's nice, Mr. Schiller. Now do that with the iMac. I need a main Desktop Hub to go along with my new MBP... I'm waiting... and I have money...
I may be another "koolaid" drinker telling Apple to "take my money" but the dongle thing is a transitionary phase. In 1-2 years we will be talking in USB-C (GoPro's Hero5 series of cameras charge and talk via USB-C).
In a wide-ranging interview with The Independent, Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller said the company has received more online orders for the new MacBook Pro so far than any previous-generation MacBook Pro.
Schiller said the early criticism and debate about the new MacBook Pro has been "a bit of a surprise" to him, but said "that's cool" and common for new Apple products. He attributed the response to a "passionate" customer base.Schiller went on to say the new MacBook Pro is "the best notebook ever made," but admitted it "might not be right for everyone on day one."![]()

Whereas some companies are blurring the lines between notebooks and tablets, Schiller said the basic L shape "makes perfect sense and won't go away."That response is part of Apple's belief that the Mac and iOS devices are "fundamentally two different products."Also interesting: Schiller noted the new MacBook Pro still has a 3.5mm headphone jack because it is a "pro machine," but lacks an SD card reader because it's a "cumbersome" slot best left to adapters or wireless transfers.

Did you know that iPhones have been able to connect to Macs wirelessly for several years now? You don't need any dongles.
Well, why is it an sd card reader? most "pro" cameras actually use CF cards. Some use SD. If you shoot video/go pro/ drone, its micro SD. Personally, I shoot all 3.
In reality these devices need to have a USB-C/TB port that you just connect directly to your laptop. Then the memory format is not a factor.
MacBook Pros have existed since 2006 and some how these pro users survived with 16GB RAM. Now all of a sudden in 2016 they can no longer survive?
Did not know they had wireless charging now. Or wireless backup. Learn something every day.
Apple is obviously doomed and nobody is going to buy the new MBP's.
It's not. At least not in law school, from what I've seen. >90% MacBook Pro.Is this true, would be hilarious if it was. Haven't been in a lecture hall in 10years.

Maybe stick with the older-model MacBook Pro, then. Doesn't seem like this update is for you. Both types of consumers can co-exist, this update doesn't have to be the holy grail for everyone.I really am getting frustrated with those of you whose answer to all the dongle problems is simple buy new cables. After buying one of these computer I would have no money for food never mind new expensive cables.
Well, to be fair, it's not a MacBook Creative Pro, it's a MacBook Pro. And to imply that law students aren't professionals is pretty ridiculous.A $4200 laptop is simply absurd.
I guess those are the creative pro's that Apple's targeting these days.
No. I will be moving to Dell XPS15" next year which meets my needs just fine.Maybe stick with the older-model MacBook Pro, then. Doesn't seem like this update is for you. Both types of consumers can co-exist, this update doesn't have to be the holy grail for everyone.
Yes. But at those prices they shouldn't have to.I'm sure anyone who could afford to spend $1,500 to $3,000 for a laptop could afford a $25 lighting to usbc cable
And 25 years ago 'professionals' used computers that had 4 MB of RAM. Memory demand has increased over the years, also in the past 10 years. In 2006 I would have been fine with 8 GB. 16 is the minimum for me now but there are certainly some good reasons for some to need more.MacBook Pros have existed since 2006 and some how these pro users survived with 16GB RAM. Now all of a sudden in 2016 they can no longer survive?
I don't even believe him. He's not going to say "yep, you got us, sales have tanked".That's what happens when you don't friggin update them for ages and there's pent up demand. Duh...
