Can it scan both sides of doc at once? The camera can "scan to pdf"! There are apps that do it (JotNot, ScannerPro), and the built in Notes app will do it too. It's a feature I use on my phone all the time.

It goes anywhere thanks to LTE.
Does the iPad have support for a robust file system / download manager and the ability to use a mouse when required?
No?
Than it isn't going to replace a computer. Ever.
Really?I can see where Apple would make this mistake in reasoning. I mean, the iPad has about as many ports as the computers Apple makes.
Too bad that AirDrop and other Wireless technologies pretty much negate the need for "sneakernet" USB-Stick "file transfer".totally disagree also.
it means one is totally locked into the apple system.
no inserting a usb stick into the iPad to transfer files.
like many people, i have hundreds of movies backed up which i like to re-watch from time to time.
no more of that.
just one example …
But. But...There are still so many things you cannot do at all with iOS or process of doing is so crippled you don't want to. Apple have all the means make it right but they won't because that would affect Mac sales.
Most of the things listed are also possible on an iPhone, or any other smartphone. So it’s kind of a funny self-own by Apple. The iPad Pro has plenty of potential but its software isn’t substantially different from that on an iPhone, and the hardware is just bigger. It has a camera![]()
Again, it all depends on the use-case.Yup. Right now, it is a good companion, not a replacement.
