Can I finally get rid of my old @me.com account? That would be super duper.

Ever since moving to iCloud, all MobileMe vestiges have just been sitting there.

What’s there to get rid of? Just start using @icloud.com?

  • If you created an iCloud account before September 19, 2012, or moved to iCloud with an active MobileMe account before August 1, 2012, you have both @me.com and @icloud.com email addresses.

Probably be their standout iOS feature to be honest.

Don’t think their last minute scramble to play catch up with Google, Microsoft et al on AI will be anything near groundbreaking enough.

I run into people who have created multiple Apple IDs for various services and then get upset when they can’t get to their Music or Apple TV+ using an Apple ID not associated with that service. I created a single Apple ID many years ago use it to this day. I never have such issues.

Is there is real purpose or advantage to having more than oneApple ID when everything is tied to one.

Tim Cook has an MBA degree. The two firms MBAs typically dream about working for are McKinsey and Goldman Sachs. The latter is a financial firm.

It's no wonder Cook choose to partner Apple with Goldman Sachs for the Apple Card.

Cook has the corporate greed and soullessness of a bankster. He is a bankster at heart. So it's no wonder he wants Apple to be more involved in the financial services space.
Tim Cook has an Industrial Engineering degree from Auburn University before his MBA. Find a new obsession.

I hope they address the changing of an Apple ID while having passkeys associated with it …

Many of us somehow ended up with one ID for various iCloud things, and a separate ID for purchases.
This is exactly the situation I am in, because I started using Apple devices and services in 2007 and I bought my first Mac in 2009. Had I known then what sort of mess two accounts would've been or exactly how all of Apple's online services and its ecosystem would eventually evolve, I would've had only one account from day one. Those of us who have been in the Apple universe the longest are the ones paying the greatest price regarding this multiple account fiasco.

I had an iCloud issue with Safari bookmarks sync, probably due to a corruption related to Advanced Data Protection. I ended up having to create a new Apple ID for iCloud in order to get sync working again. I still use my old Apple ID for purchases. It’s not really a huge deal. Apple allows you to sign in separately to iCloud and media services.
