Are there any/many non-game apps that are even over 1 GB?Oooh, this could be good for all apps in general and not just games.
Are there any/many non-game apps that are even over 1 GB?
No, most of the big ones are pushing 300MB, and then a very few 600MB.![]()
"Why get a 128GB iPad Air", they said. "Stick with 32 or 64 and save some money" they said. But I got a 128 because I knew that everything would just get bigger and bigger over time. I knew I'd need it and I was right. Especially in a system that can't be upgraded later on, you should max it out from the start. Now Apps can be up to 4GB. I knew it was going to happen.
They really need to stop being so stingy with iPhone storage and how much it costs us.
32bit is limited in addressable memory to 2G.
So I'd say that this is Apple starting to show the benefits of 64bit.
Never. 6s will be 32, 64, 128. The $100 Apple Ram Scam will be alive and well.![]()
Hopefully this means that 32gb is starting size in next iPhone
Ditto! There is no reason apple can't make the base model storage model 32.
RAM or memory is different to drive space. Many people don't know the difference between the two. And if my old 32 bit white iMac is any indication, it could hold 4 GB RAM in it but it could only address 3 of those GB of memory.
What you say is correct but it has nothing to do with App sizes of which this article is talking.
The original Final Fantasy VII fit on 3CDs with a LOT of redundant data. It could easily fit in a 2GB app.Anything that brings us closer to Final Fantasy VII on iOS has to be a good thing.
Just because they didn't create 32 GB versions of the latest model, mostly as a marketing move, doesn't mean that that size is gone and can't be there in future models.
3 games on a 16gb and you're done!
Time to get rid of your iPhone 4.
Anything that brings us closer to Final Fantasy VII on iOS has to be a good thing.
We're getting to the point where there really should be a switch to override cellular restrictions. I have a 20GB data plan. Sometimes I want to do bandwidth heavy things on cellular! Hell, sometimes my cellular connection is FASTER than the available Wifi.
If I go over and have to pay overages, it's my fault, not Apple's. Give us an override switch!
