Just picked up mine from the Regent Street store; I'd say about one in three of those in line were buying one. It will be late tonight before I can use it though.

damn ... went there yesterday and they said they didn't know when they were coming in. Probably in a few days! Ordered one from the online Apple Store.

yeah, next thing you know we will all be talking about the next mouse revision... mightymouselounge.com lol :p (if there is such a thing)

You know what? I really like my local AppleCentre, I went in there today for another look around thinking that due to my location both globally and locally that they wouldn't have the Mighty Mouse in stock but nooooo..... there were seriously 20 of the damn things sitting there on the shelves taunting me - and I caved....

Bloody nice mouse though, the scroll ball is so sweet, I like the tiny size of it, it feels like you're just dragging your finger across a flat surface.

My only qualms are the very short cord (but I can't stand wireless mice still would have liked to keep the cord tidy) and the somewhat difficult placement of the squeeze buttons.

Overall however, I'm very happy.

Oh, and the USB plug is thin enough for me to plug in both the mouse and my iPod shuffle next to each other on my iBook (yeah, it's a very handy thing)

Can I adjust the click spring/pressure?

I just got my MightyMouse today but I really don't like the "hard" feel of the click/switch. Feels like I have to really give it some muscle to make it click. I think I've noticed this on all Apple mice. I much prefer the easy/soft feel of the logitech or Microsoft mice.

I bought the MightyMouse mostly to reward Apple and say thanks for FINALLY acknowledging the need for a multi-button mouse. So now we just need to get Apple and the programmers to fill the system/programs with contextual menus! They'rrrrrrrrrrre grrrrrrrrrreat!

Got mine from the regent street store today
when I got there, there were none left I complained saying Itold there were thousands in stock only 30 mins earlier and they found an open one out back. Got 10% off

Not Impressed

Tried out the Mighty Mouse at the Palo alto store. Not impressed with the right click. I rest both index and middle finger on the mouse buttons when I use a true two-button mouse. This though confuses the sensors in the mighty mouse and clicking the middle finger while leaving the index finger still is treated as a left button click. You have to raise your index finger off the mouse and then click with the middle finger for a right button click.

This is one of those rare times IMO when Apple should have let form follow function and just gone with a normal two-button mouse. :(

i dont think you can adjust the pressure, the only adjustment is to assigning mouse buttons and the speed of double clicking and teh mouse speed, like the trackpad.

My guess is MWSF - probably a BT version, possibly a price drop on this version...

I agree, the Power Mouse is my bet. BT and maybe metal look. Possibly a few extra buttons but I doubt that in the world of Mac minimalisation...

I doubt a price drop. I expect it will also be exy, maybe $90 USD.

It better have an on/off switch for those off us with backpacks.

A Logitech/Aple PB battery like battery light scale would be appreciated.

It also better be BT1.0 and 2.0, so those millions of us with Apple gear that is more than a year old can use it without a new BT dongle.

Good Deal '

what about the price, $90 to $100,

thats a bit much___but it would be well worth it

the apple BT mouse now, is $50....?????

you never know..

In general, I think you are correct a traditional two button mouse would have been better. I was skeptical about the right-clicking, but today I went to my local Apple Store and tried it out. I naturally lift my index finger a bit when I right click, so it worked beautifully for me. Still this seems to be something that some people do and others do not. If you don't, then the right-clicking would definitely take some conscious thought at first. I tried right-clicking with my index finger still on the surface and it simply doesn't work.

While the left and right clicking worked great for me I didn't care for the other features. The scroll ball worked fine, a little slow on the scrolling but not bad. However, I didn't like the tactile feedback of the ball. It is in such small increments that it almost feels like the ball is vibrating slightly - odd sensation, I didn't care for it. Plus that little ball was a bit small for my large hands. Also, I didn't like squeezing the side buttons, you have to squeeze pretty hard to activate it - didn't feel natural to me.

It's not a bad mouse, I think a lot has to do with your personal preferences and how you mouse already. If it fits your style I think it would be a really nice mouse, but even still I'm not sure if it is worth $50. I know Apple always sells for a premium but I think $40 would have been enough of a premium for this wired mouse.

Control+Click

I really like my new Mighty Mouse. I wanted a one button mouse with a scroll wheel, so by setting both buttons to primary I get what I want...

Should I ever need to replace my mousies, this is what I'd be doing, too. Now that some time has passed, do we have any word or speculation on Apple's plans to keep Control+Click as a part of future OS's? Will it eventually be allowed to disappear when it's assumed that everone has Mighty Mouse? (Say, 5 years from now?)

I don't see why they'd need to take it out. So they'd probably leave it in there.

M.M. users make better lovers?

That isn't a nipple... it is a... umm... well we call it the clitoral mouse around here.

Now THERE'S a way to get switchers! "Hey guys, lonely?"

Or even better..."Men who use the Mighty Mouse make better lovers..."

A guy using that tiny Mighty Mouse scroll button all day, everyday would get a lot of practice. And if his girlfriend is happy, word could quickly spread that Mac users are much better lovers (of course, we knew this all along, but now, maybe, the rest of the world will know as well?).

Also, I'm not at work right now so can't check this on and Wintel box but control and left click is the same as right click there too so I doubt there's a good reason to change this in future MacOS's. in fact I think that would be pretty stupid.

NO, it's NOT a multi-button mouse..it's still a one-button mouse (as it always should be) with multi-button functionality; Apple is still faithful to its design principles.

Pleeasse.... i was just about to say how i can't wait to see how the one-button zealots will rationalize this one....

Well, I think Apple made it fairly easy to rationalize it seeing as there is no visible split between the left and right sides of the mouse and you can program both sides to function as the primary click (effectively a one button mouse). I wouldn't want to miss out on the added functionality of another button, but that doesn't mean that the zealots have to miss out on all their zeal ;P

This is the funniest post I've read on this forum

This is the funniest post I've read on this forum. After reading the post, I took a glance at my Mighty Mouse and started craking-up. You guys made my Saturday morning. LOL
