You can download iWorks, Office for Mac, AutoCAD, Diablo III, and StarCraft 2 from the Internet and from sources such as the Mac App Store. No CDs needed.90% of the games out there and 90% the software out there and office for mac , iWorks ,Final Cut Pro and Aperture ,Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk's AutoCAD, and Blizzard's Diablo III, star craft are at the apple store ??? I don't think so.
What do you mean? What store ?
MS office for mac , iWorks ,Final Cut Pro and Aperture ,Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk's AutoCAD, and Blizzard's Diablo III, star craft comes with CD that must be loated .If no CD drive how do you load it?
Best WWDC ever.
I'm there with you. The Retina MBP is the same resolution as an MBA 13....

This has possibly been asked before, but too many pages to look through
Is the memory upgradable? It doesnt look like it in the pictures ive seen.
If not I'll actually have to consider paying apple tax for the upgrade since i will most likely regret it later if i'm stuck with 8 gigs.
I ordered one but not due to ship until 4th July. So much for 5-7 business days!![]()
Another disconcerting thing is the Retina screen is only equivalent to 1440x900 and not the 1680x1050 that i'm used to (Hi-Res AG screen). Yes things will be sharper/crisper but there'll also be less room overall compared to what i'm coming from.
i was talking about the specs of the MBP.
You can get all those Apps on the MAC APP STORE!
Games from Steam or another digital distributor.

Stuck with 8GB? are you kidding. unless your seriously into using mega large files u won't need 16gb for years and years.
Why not incorporate the new vent-system on the slightly thicker Macbook Pros? Lowering the temps. there would be awesome.
I don't know about the Mac world but most people that have PC get games or software that comes with CD that must be installed.
You claiming 90% of the software and 90% games are at the apple store?
I'm confused.
I feel like this is the start of the decline for Apple.
If I wanted 300 choices for a laptop I'd go buy a Dell or an HP. One thing I loved about Mac was the lack of decision making that simplicity offered. I know this sounds crazy, what consumer doesn't want to make decisions, but honestly I didn't want to know what makes a good laptop. I just want to get one that will work well and that I can depend on and enjoy. The macbook model in many ways was perfect - just choose the size. Now it's 11" Air vs 13" Air vs 13" MBP vs 15" MBP vs 17" MBP vs 15" next gen MBP. If they stop here, fine, that's complicated enough, but if they keep going it'll really wreck the biggest thing they have going for them: knowing what is best for the consumer even if the consumer doesn't know it. For instance, I wanted a desktop mac, and if given choice I would have picked something with more upgrade potential, but there is only the iMac that sacrifices upgrade potential for space. I'm really enjoying the low-impact design of the iMac. Wouldn't have taken advantage of that if Apple made 100 different iMacs. Its a strength for them.
Of the two 15" Retina Macbook Pros, why does the slightly faster one cost $600 more? That's a huge price increase for a slight bump in speed.
How is that justified?
Unfortunately it turns out that I am exactly right. Look at the screen in this video and you'll see that the new retina screen looks basically as glossy as a standard glossy screen.
