No 128GB option is a shame. It makes it a £140 difference in price between the 64GB model, which is too small, and the 256GB. The same as the additional cost to include cellular support, so the starting price of £479 quickly becomes £759 for something useable (to me).

Also it seems odd not to offer a 512GB option. It makes no sense to save that for the Pro range as though form factor does not matter to people who specifically want a mini. For me the mini is the perfect size for where and how I use it.

I desperately need to replace my iPhone 6 as the second battery is dying. But I am very underwhelmed by the new iPhones (no touch ID on the button, and no always-on display) that I will just buy a refurbed older model. So splitting that purchase with an upgraded iPad mini was very tempting. Up to £650 for 256GB cellular it would have been an easy decision, but instead I think my mini 4 will have to last me a while longer yet.

Ordered I'm a bit disappointed they max out at 256gb they should have at least offered 512gb. And $799 with 5G. I traded in my 5th get got $225 for it bringing the iPad down to $575 otherwise I would have spent it but it keeps my foot in my apple ecosystem, but in comparison I just paid $533 for a galaxy tab7 plus and that OLED screen.

I got the Starlight as it seemed like its between the white and silver, and the white folio

Thrilled with everything except the colors. I'm tired of Space Gray and a previous mini was pink. Starlight looks "beige", so Purple it will probably be. I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm thinking I'll wait until Costco carries them as they usually discount by $20 or so, get better return policy and then also get additional cash back on my Citi/Costco card. Gotta think on it ;)

it's not just that it starts at a pidly 64gb but why when for 3 years successive iPhones XR 11 & 12 had $50US upgrades to 128g. There's no such option for this & other non Pro iPads?

Mini now looks like a smaller version of the Pro iPad. Support for Pencil 2 is good. Not impressed with the colours. $100 price increase though :(

Really tempted to get this for note-taking, media consumption and light productivity for around the house. Not to mention it could make for a great ultra-portable device on the move if I don't want to have a laptop with me. All we need now is an ultra-cute tiny Smart Keyboard for it 😉

I do think a 128GB option would have been the sweet-spot for me.

I ended up buying purple too. Beige isn't my color! Dark blue or dark green would have been nice.

I wasn't going to buy any apple products, but geez, my mini's (v2) was failing and this has everything I want in a mini. It'll be replacing my iPad Pro 11" as well.

No silver version? Did I miss something? Regardless, $649 for 256GB is a little pricey for me. Gonna stick with my Air 3 for now--still a great iPad!

Came here to say much the same. For me the disappointment is the iPhones now start at 128 but this is left with 64 at the entry level? I can live without cellular but not with only 64gb for something I will occasionally want to rack up with movies to take travelling with me.

Like many others, I've been waiting for a Mini like this for a long time. Ordered my first Space Gray device; really disappointed there's no silver option.
