I just get the store closed screen when i try and use the app! :( Think i may have missed the boat :( i should have used the app at the beginning!
 
Not really sure about leaving out some sort of model identifier..

I recently had a neighbor ask me to help him install final cut on his iMac. I have never had an iMac... Just MBP and iPad iPhones etc.

Problems started as he did not have enough ram. Trying to find the model of iMac wasn't easy :confused:

I can't remember how I cracked it, which means Google is gonna be my friend again when I need to do the ram on the wife's black MacBook so I can install Lion.

This problem is going to crop up in a couple of years with the iPad too, for example, when buying a cover.

Maybe there is an easy way out there to identify particular models... Using the serial number ???

If anyone knows the easy way, please let me know! For some reason I always get asked to help with Apple problems by friends ... Really don't know why!

I need one thing answered to know if I understood correctly.


Apple said LTE will be AT&T or Verizon specific but they said that 3G will be world ready. So if I bought a LTE AT&T could I use Verizon 3G or any 3G provider pretty much?

I use my iPad 2 all the time for my contracting work, making appointments and recording them. My iPad 2 is also my gps (I have it mounted in my truck). Much of my time is spent searching for peoples addresses. It would be awesome to have Full Siri capabilities to google addresses and record appointments without having to type everything in.

Just because it doesn't seem necessary for you, does not mean it's the same for everyone else.
 
iPad 3Gen 'Face Time' Not in HD!

It seems that this new 3gen ipad only offers a VGA Video quality for 'Face Time' video calls on WiFi on the front lens?

If so that is a real mistake and seems like a marketing move but wrong to customers laying out a ton of money on these units!

I know all the new Macbook Pro models feature 720 progressive video that is broadcast out thru HD Face Time.

Got a 32GB White 4G in the UK through the Apple Store app. The website never got past the third screen and then just went down altogether. It looks like the app is also down now as I'm trying to get the AppleTV on a separate order.
 
How was iPad 2 availability at stores in the US 3-4 weeks after launch? I'll be visiting around this time and would like to purchase the new iPad. Thanks.
 
So looking at the tech specs for the new iPad, it says it requires iTunes 10.6

See how 10.5.3 is out right now, I wonder what big updates are included to justify a such a large number jump?

It's just going to be the same as an iPod Touch, Macbook Pro, iMac, etc... You can call it 3rd gen iPad, iPad 2012... it's not that difficult.
 
Store came back up and I was able to get my order through in seconds. iPad 32 GB WiFi Black and an Apple TV!
 
Speed of the store seems to have picked up considerably for me. Just placed my order for 2 32 GB WiFi models (black), a copy of Applecare+ and a red leather smart cover. Woohoo! First iPad for me!
 
iPad 2 at $399.00

I think the $399.00 iPad spells trouble for the Android contenders. At four hundred U.S., iPad 2 is (IMO) still better than any Android device I have seen to date (having no life, I play with all of them at places like Best Buy). And this is any Android device at any price point.

Consider this: Ist gen. Android devices are still stuck at Honeycomb, Lollypop, or whatever. iPad 1 owners are downloading IOS 5.1 right now....Wirelessly.
