Interesting... the new iPad specs say Airplay Video streaming at 1080p; but Airplay mirroring at only 720p. No 1080p Airplay mirroring?

The New iPad? Really? What about when newer ones come out and somebody asks which ipad you have. You say "the new iPad". Even though its four generations old. And what about accessories. From here on out, nobody can be sure which generation the accessories are for, since The New IPad is both a specific model, and a description of the most recent release... So incredibly stupid. Sounds horrible, looks horrible, and is horribly impractical. Im gonna go throw a sissy fit in front of my MBP, crying about my first world problems. But seriously Apple.... What were you thinking?
Edit: The only reason I was a little shocked was because i thought the name was literally "The New iPad" and would be printed just like that on packaging and accessories. I have no problem with them dropping the number system, just thought that they were including "New" in the generation name. No need to down vote so viciously, I was confused by the name, as were many here. I like it better that they're dropping the number system, I was just confused at first.

It is a silly thing they are trying to do since we will have to make up a name for this device to discuss it.
"Hey, is that the iPad?"
"Yes"
"Which one is it?"
"??? [Now I have to make up a name or use the name that everyone just ended up using, which might not be the same name that my friend has heard for the device.]"
With their dominance now, they would likely not be able to do this - they would very likely face dumping accusations.

I believe Newstand itself is a folder, albeit a fancy one, considering that the magazines within it are apps. As you know, you can't place a folder within a folder in iOS.

The 1 to 3 jump looks worth the $
As I recall iPhoto can edit 12 MB pics. I can [don't know how??] connect to my camera, load the pics, edit on the go, and upload to a Mac [don't know how]. I don't see taking snapshots with an iPan as a rational way to do serious photography.

Two new toys I'm buying this month. My wife may complain, but it will be worth it.

Ha- can't even access the iOS Apple Store app. DEAD. Ain't no pre-orders getting done today, folks.
Which they've been doing for years with the various iPods. It's just nano or classic or touch - the official product name doesn't have a number but if people need to refer to which model it is they use the generation number. Same goes for macs too, they're not selling iMac 8 and MacBook Pro 5.
