iPad 2 16GB 3G resell value?

So, how much do you guys/gals think I'll be able to get for my 16GB 3G iPad 2? Since they only dropped the price by $100, do you think I could get like $400 for it? :D

I'm currently waiting for the store to open up, I need to pre-order one of these "new" iPads! It's a solid upgrade, and the Retina will make a huge difference. I use my iPad 2 everyday, so this upgrade is worth it.

Im a New Zealander living in Poland, the only way I can watch sports from home is by flash streaming. If there was another option i would use it but there isnt.

So they are waiting for that Texas store to open before actually releasing it for sale... incredible.

j/k

Seems many rumors were true, as expected. However it now opens up a whole rung of vibrant rumors for the "iPad 4" coming in October. Or so it is rumored.

Cell Costs

Does anyone know what AT&T and Verizon will charge for LTE connection for the new iPad? Any chance that my iPad 1 "unlimited" AT&T $30 service will grandfather in to the new device?

The only "disappointment" was the price drop on the iPad2, they should have dropped it $200 and that would have really destroyed the competition. They could afford to not really make any margin on them now. Otherwise iPad3 (new iPad I guess) looks great.

I know right, I wanted a lower price for it to be. I was watching a live coverage and the guy said "Wait, they are talking about the iPad 2 price. They will still be selling it." I was like  then when he said only $100 I was like :(.

Looks like Siri will be an iPhone exclusive from now on!! Makes sense since Siri wouldn't be used as much on an iPad!!

I disagree. I don't use voice assistants like Siri on a phone, but I would at least play with something like SpeakToIt or Siri on a desktop or my notebook. I still don't see the usefulness of a tablet, but since a tablet is also an in-door device, I could imagine using a voice assistant there. On a phone, in public - njet, towarischtsch.

I have to have every new iPad and I'm hitting reload like a freak. Didn't Apple have enough planning to have the store read once the press release was over, come on...

It is a silly thing they are trying to do since we will have to make up a name for this device to discuss it.
"Hey, is that the iPad?"
"Yes"
"Which one is it?"

"??? [Now I have to make up a name or use the name that everyone just ended up using, which might not be the same name that my friend has heard for the device.]"

How do you do it with an iPod, or a MacBook? After today, iPhone is the only apple product that is numbered by generation. (which is okay, since they're selling three generations of them right now)

Pre-ordering on Monday through my university network to get my 6% student discount :p On top of that, sold my mum's old TouchPad for £140 (paid £90 for it from work :p) and given her my old iPad 1 - which she actually prefers - in return.

All in, the 32GB 'next iPad' will cost me £329 :D

Will they still be accepting pre-orders on Monday, or do they stop when they reach their initial stock capacity?

Where is the new $39 SKU? Why are they calling isight the cameras? I though they changed that to FaceTime cameras

It seems like they've decided on: Front Camera = FaceTime Camera, Back Camera = iSight Camera. Which makes sense.

iPod will just be "iPod," iPhone will just be "iPhone, and iPad will now just be "iPad" - watch when iPhone 5 comes out - I bet it'll just be "iPhone"

----------

...otherwise, the iPhone 11 will sound pretty stupid...

This. I know other companies number their devices, but it never seemed Apple-like. After all, we don't see them introducing the, say, MacBook 5, do we?

Solid update.
But I am not sure I am buying it because I do not think will be that necessary since I have the iPad 2.

Worst part about every event. Getting back into the store to buy announced stuff.

Servers STILL can't handle it!

I was wondering the same thing myself. I hadn't heard them use the term iSight in a while.....

But I see, as another poster said, that they are referring to the front camera as the FaceTime camera, and the back camera, the iSight camera.....
