I wouldn't say their stuff is all garbage these days, but there does seem to be more and more buggy products and less innovations/excitement these days.

^ This. I can roll with some hardware issues, this can happen with every electronic device. When you're rushing to release software that gives new or existing hardware trouble for several years now (talking about several versions of iOS and OS here); a hard reset in the way the management think is a good idea. I seem to remember far fewer bugs in software when there was an 18-24 month release schedule.

If Apple's products just worked, they'd sell even more than they do now. That's all I want, a just works experience.

I would hope as a result of this glitch Apple rethinks their software strategy.

I only have my personal iPad Pro to go on, but I updated to 9.2 beta 3 out of the box before even using 9.1 it shipped with - since last Wednesday, and I've not had this issue a single time.

Apple will soon state that people are charging it wrong and turning the iPad off incorrectly. Seriously, Apple is no different than microsoft when it comes to excuses. Apple hate to admit their flaws...

I don't want to nitpick here but I didn't see where they made any excuses or refused to admit there was a flaw.

I agree. It seems like lately, their products "just works" sometimes.

I have had iTunes match since it was released. I never really had any issues with it until a week ago. My external HD containing all my iTunes music crashed.

I did not think it was a big deal because I have iTunes match, and all my songs were saved in a cloud.

Well, due to some glitch, all my music disappeared. I called Apple support and the issue has been elevated to higher tech support, and still waiting to hear from them.

I lost nearly 3k songs. Many I have been collecting since I bought my Apple iBook G3 in 2001. Also, about half of the songs I paid for via iTunes are still not on my account.

The days of Apple's products just working may have past.

I'm going to go all out here. I'm sure this will be my last post as I'll be kicked off this board. Why all the apple bashers and posters of absolute stupidity will be allowed to stay is beyond me. Well, not really. The owners simply want posting numbers even if their forums now have a very bad reputation as a place to whine and complain instead of providing useful information.
You threaten to get kicked off this board more often than the haters hate. Is there a more broken record on the internet than theirs maybe?

Look, if I bought a VW Phaeton and it went wrong I’d expect a certain level of recompense/service when I have issues. If I bought a Bentley I’d expect significantly more of those and I’d likely be a lot more vocal about it too.
Why? Because Bentley purport to be a premium car company and accordingly charge premium prices.

Apple are the same, they make premium products and sure as s**t charge premium prices. People that have made a significant investment in those iProducts feel they have the right to vent and I agree with them, don’t care if you don’t.

Oh, and this forum is one of the most popular Apple forums around and provides very useful info, here have a look for yourself. Your assertion of a bad reputation is drivel.

You illustrate why the cloud isn't a good place to leave things without a back up plan.

Especially Apple's services have always sucked. iDisk, mac.com. me etc.

A general problem is that if you for some reason don't or can't renew your subscription your stuff is toast.

Re-downloading lots of files or GBs also takes a long time depending on ones internet connection.

The last thing I want to do is having to worry that I lose all my stuff, which was accumulated over a life time.

Doesn't matter if via Apple or anybody else.

I had this problem on 128 gb silver wifi iPad Pro. Installing iOS 9.2 beta 4 solved it. I tested it twice today.

Huh. How silly of you.

They why did they publish a support document? Apple is much better than most companies with regard to fixing issues. But the apple haters refuse to see that.

Apple does have an idea. And they will find the solution despite your desire to have then NOT find the solution. The longer it takes apple to solve the issue, the more opportunities you apple bashers will have to spend your lives reading this forum and complaining and bashing apple. And when it's fixed, you will still find a way to waste your lives bashing apple.

Is this really the most clever thing you can come up with??? You aren't too smart, are you?

I charge my 6s plus every night. I've NEVER had this freeze.

You don't even try to couch your ill conceived and blind hatred into something slightly palatable. You hate apple, their products and their users. You are incredibly ignorant and mean spirited.

Aren't you the idiot for wasting your time here and for buying apple products? Or are you just on an idiot one man crusade to hurt apple? Walked into an apple store the other day. Packed with people who appreciate apple products and also understand that apple isn't perfect, but are better than most. You are a complete buffoon.

Steve Jobs was not a god. And not one of you really know what he would have done if he were still alive.

You seem to be a very unimaginative follower if that's the best you can come up with.

Ha, ha , ha, very funny. You should have your very own HBO stand up comedy special.

Then get a pc and go away.

Bye all. Enjoy the absolute stupidity and uselessness of this forum thank to the abundance of idiots here that the mods obviously enjoy having around.

PS. At least I used the multi quote so I can't be condemned for that.

Your iPhone 6S is charged every night and hasn't frozen? Holy crap, that totally discounts what I said because you represent the entire world! C'mon, even Steve Jobs wasn't that big of a narcissist.

I can agree with that. Usually have a back up of all my iTunes stuff using CCC, but due to a software issue on a different computer I had to reformat the drive.

I didn't set up the schedule again at it looks like it cost me.

I probably have a back up of most of the songs somewhere. And I know I have almost all of them on an iPod Photo I can grab that from.

Btw, I had the .mac and really love the service. I did not like iCloud that much when we were made to switch but I got use to it.

serves people right for buying this piece of garbage. a "pro" tablet should never ever EVER run IOS. It's literally just a bigger iPad air with slightly better specs. Whats the point in laying down the same amount of cash for this as a macbook?

Then why are you still here? If you hate Apple products so much you should be somewhere else. I actually own the iPad Pro and its amazing.

Because of course, as many once said 'an iPad is just a bigger iPhone!'

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the iPad Pro, did you have an iPad Air at all?

I'm kind of on the fence so would really like your thoughts on what you feel the differences are and why you feel it's a great device.

PMSL, people love to criticise but if its something they like... its not valid and don't come here.
Heavens forbid if it was a none apple product... it would be totally unacceptable and worthy of much ridicule.!

Personally I see no reason to own both an iPad Air and iPad Pro. Once I bought the 6+ I began using my Air less and less. IMO the screen size difference between the Air and the 6+ is too small. But the Pro is a whole other thing. The screen is amazing. IMO the Pro is the ultimate personal consumption device. Movies, games, websites, Apps, Magazines, photo's, videos all look better and all sound better.

I was thinking of getting a Macbook but decided against it because of the Pro.

The good ol' "just restart it, we have no idea" fix
Apple gets crap for not addressing problems. And when they do address problems, letting the public know they're working on a fix and giving alternatives to get around the issue for now, they still get crap. I love MacRumors.

Ahhh, yes...the plight of early adopters. Although, I totally agree that it sucks to spend at least $800 + tax on this thing and have to do a hard reset pretty much every time you charge the device to 100%.

Interesting, thanks. I own an iPad Air and was wondering if it's worth the upgrade.

I like the idea of the larger screen but it looks enormous when seeing it in videos but like anything I presume you'd get used to it quite quickly. I also like the idea of the pencil to be able to take notes, I always feel that the art of pen on paper (pencil on paper!) to write is a forgotten art!

Stay calm. Take a deep breath before posting.
I'm always calm, never one to jump to conclusion after years of involvement in the high tech business.

However having spent nearly all of those years as an avid, high volume, Apple customer, it's very discouraging to read this kind of news.

Sometimes I wonder if Apple has repeated its first few years of experience over and over, learning nothing. Or if they've actually learned anything, and if so why the _BLEEP_ can't they catch these things in testing?

After all, Apple has been in business Thirty Nine Years!
