Hmm, a "great phone" with problems is not a great phone, pal.

Besides, I thought the 6S was a great phone?

This has nothing to do with fear, it has everything to do with having a reliable, bug-free product with the right features.

Apple usually gets it right the second time around. Obvious examples of this being:

iPad vs iPad 2
:apple:Watch vs :apple:Watch Ver.2
iPhone 6 (bendy!!) vs 6s
Unibody MacBook (original missing FW) vs 13" MBP
iPad Air vs iPad Air 2

I will never, ever (again ;)) buy a first-gen Apple device.
I have owned all of those devices listed and none of those first generation examples disappointed me apparently at the level they disappointed you or others.

I bought a 6S in December and it has a problem where it goes to no service all on it's own. I posted about this problem on here a few days after buying the phone. It had this problem as soon as it was opened and activated, it took an hour to get service. I haven't brought the 6S in for service yet and it still has this problem today.

My 6S+ that was also bought in December never had this problem. The S series phones have had their share of problems as well.

*SIGH

OK, for those absolutists out there: no device is perfect. There, I said it. You should have taken yours in when you noticed the issue.

Now, as I stated previously, Apple is in the habit of getting a device right the second time around. "S" cycle devices are better than their counterparts, and I mean from a redesign perpective (since every device is "better" than the previous--with the exception of the Mac Pro).

This generation including our technology are more confused now. Their identities has changed that they don't know who they are. Kids think they're monkeys or dogs or some other kind of creature. Sports celebrities wants to become a rapper. Cellphones are confused too are they computer, audio or video player, a navigation device, and now they think they're an airplane. They refused to turn back into smartphone. List goes on and on and on. One more thing Apple wants to become a car manufacturer. :D

Sounds like a software bug.
Shouldn't be too difficult to troubleshoot and fix.
If it turns out to be hardware, it will be a minor inconvenience until the units are swapped out.

The only issue I seem to have are issues relating to bluetooth auto-pairing in my car as well as inconsistent volume each time I connect. But those are issues I had after upgrading to iOS 10 on my 6s when the GM dropped, so probably not the phone's fault, and not a huge deal.

Issues like I am having here?

New models are better than the ones that came before? What a shocker! Of course that also applies to non "S" models - the iPhone 5 was better than the 4s; 6 better than the 5s; etc. Which is kind of the point of coming out with new models, after all.

This is an absolute snooze-fest of an issue.

I'm having the "no service" issue on my iPhone 6 on IOS 10 (with t-mobile). It occurs after switching airplane mode off... and after having been on wifi for a while then leaving the place with wifi.

If I reboot my phone... then I get service back. It's a software bug.

ServiceGate, HissGate,NoiseReductionGate, And SkinGate. It's a phone..it happens.
[doublepost=1474294927][/doublepost]My 7 Plus has actually restarted 5 times since Friday. Apple is like Trump..no matter what they say or do I'm still with them forever!

Good for you.

I simply stopped buying Apple products just because they're Apple.

I was stuck in a constant upgrade cycle that is artificially controlled by Apple. That's BS.

I should have never bought an iPad 1. It did not have a front-facing camera. RAM was sorely lacking. It is an expensive paperweight now, while the iPad 2 I got is (somewhat) still usable.

The iPad Air cannot multitask like the Air 2 can. That is an important functionality.

iPhone 6 went through "bend-gate". The "S" version was far sturdier.

Everyone knew (other than Apple apologists) that the second-gen Apple watch would have it's most glaring ommission: waterproofing. Apps that open quickly.

The above forms a pattern. This is not news.

I got this issue this past saturday on my iPhone 7 on VZW network. First the LTE symbol disappear but i still have 4 dots of signal. I turn on Airplane mode on and off, and then i got No Service. Took about 5 mins for signal to come back. Hope Apple fix this bug soon!

Reading comprehension escapes some people, obviously.

All I ask of people with problems on iOS 10 and/or the iPhone 7 to not complain about here and to please leave Apple Feedback on there Feedback page so they can resolve the issues. Trust me, feedback does get read and dealt with all day long.

My wife has the GSM version and used airplane mode yesterday without any problems. Sounds like it's not every single device. It will get fixed.

Oh no! We discovered another manufacturing variance!!! Let's see if we can get it to trend in a Twitter hashtag!!! (MacRumors seem giddy when it Trends... so freaking weird).

This is ridiculous Apple. QC is in the gutter for the last few years at Apple.
Very True.

It's the height of arrogance when Apple ships faulty phones so nonchalantly.

Knowing they'll be defended by plenty of their cult like followers, the company blatantly charges high premium prices while shipping a product they've failed to thoroughly test.

Apple collects our money and laughs all the way to the bank.

Indeed. People are going to the wrong places with their minor bug discoveries

This happened for me on my iPhone 5S. I turned on Airplane Mode to charge quickly, and when I turned it back on, the Cellular Antenna did not turn back on.

Huh. I had wondered how the Intel chips would fare over the long, tried and true Qualcomm chips. While this isn't a huge deal per se, it does however, show that there is going to be some bugs to work through on Intel's part.
You have zero evidence to say this. Back it up

Apple seems incapable of bringing out a product without some drama taking place. It just makes one wonder how careless is their testing process?? How can they not find out and fix something like this before selling their product? I know Samsung had a huge problem this time but with Apple it is pretty much every product! And to top it all they bring out a product before they have capacity to fulfill orders. This time the stock levels have been a joke! I don't imagine Jobs would have liked what his company has become.

For some strange reason, when i click the airplane mode twice i hearded something like allahu akbar. Really weird..
