:) I never post any rumors or so in general but the moment when I saw that invite it reminded me of the moon. And it happend to be that 14 november there will be the biggest moon in more then 30 years. :) So maybe they will launch them on that date ? >>> info about the moon http://earthsky.org/?p=190918

I Hope these macbooks wont be crazy priced :) I can't wait to get a new macbook in more then 6 years without one!

We won't know until after the presentation.
The only other products I could see being updated are the Apple display and maybe iPods - but Apple doesn't really care for them anymore.

So weird. Usually a keynote in October means new iPads

That was me whilst driving to class 30 minutes ago. This thread will keep me entertained.

I've got a massive grin on my face, hurling likes at everything you post. I'm thoroughly enjoying this thread.

I'm so, so hyped for this. So hyped. Urrrgh. Next week can't come soon enough.

So what about the new iPad Pro? I mean, if I had to choose, I'd rather Apple keep updating Macs instead. But I'm kind of interested in the 10.5" or whatever model with an Apple Pencil and 4GB RAM. I'm also interested in whether or not my 2012 rMBP can work with this 5K display if it has an external graphics card to run the thing using Thunderbolt. I feel like my machine is still plenty fast—I just want a large retina display to hook it up to when I need it for design and photography work. It would be great if it supports high dynamic range and I could hook up the Xbox "Scorpio" to it next year in 4K mode, killing two birds with one stone!

Anything new from Apple always gets me excited. The anticipation, the comments on these forums, it's always awesome! I updated to a 2015 15" rMBP 2 months ago. No regrets, I love it. It's blazing fast and does everything I need. I for one am glad I didn't wait to upgrade to these lesser devices.

"You still haven't stated what makes you feel so strongly that they will break with such a long standing pattern."

This is about the best reason I can come up with and Mark Gurman has an excellent track with great sources:

I agree he has an excellent track record. I never saw that article before you linked it. The display rumor might have originated with Kuo. guess it's possible that we'll something, but it's incredibly weird that they would just drop the prior thing months before a replacement. Rather than allow it to stretch to 5.5 years, they cut it right around 5.

No USB A port would be pretty annoying. I know Apple's always ahead of the pack yaddi yadda but seriously, how many times every single day do you plug something in via USB A... charging cords, sync cords, USB memory keys... annoying to have to rely on having a dongle everywhere you use your MBP or rushing to an Apple Store when you forget it...

Yes, but iPads seems to have shifted back to March. We could see a 12.9 update, but I just don't see Apple regularly updating 12.9 in October and the 9.7" in March and I don't seem them updating BOTH now since the iPad Pro 9.7 is only 6 months old.

Wonder if they'll offer Skylake on all the new RMBP but allow for a BTO option with Kaby? That would be sick!!!!

My early-2008 MacPro is due for an upgrade and I've been holding off. Time to try a Macbook Pro. I just hope for local storage > 1TB in this edition and > 16 GB RAM...

Can't wait for my new iMac!
I keep telling myself I'm not getting one, but I'm getting one. I've never owned a desktop and once I graduate I won't need portability any more. Dat 5K screen.....

And get them to blog their reflection about it.

Instant English lesson.
I'd be a horrible teacher. I'd be like "sit quietly and learn patience" for 2 hours.

And iMac or else I'll just
Just what? Wait longer? Or get a Dell XPS with monitor!? :p

Looking forward to news about the iMac and new Thunderbolt Display. iMac i7-7700K, AMD RX 480, TB3/USB3.1, and a matching 5K Thunderbolt display with a built in RX 480 would be killer.
