They've left it a month too long for me. The credit crisis has taken its toll on me and I need the £1500 for remortgaging.

I'll have to keep my PowerBook going a little longer.

Well, in Denmark we don't even have an Apple Store. I have to jump on a plane and fly all the way to NY or London for the experience.
I've never been to an Apple Store and I doubt my life would change if I would. It would simply be convenient if there was an Apple Store close by.

Wooop wooop!

- 1680x1050 15,4" for me
- Quadro graphics card for me
- 2,8 Ghz for me
- eSata for me
- 5 hours battery life for me
- 8 GB Ram option for me
- magnetic latch for me

PLEEAASE :D

Hey, get your hands off my MBP! But, c'mon, the Quadro is asking for a lot. Such a device, with e-sata to boot, would eliminate 80% of the demand for Mac Pros.

Finally its time for me to replace my mbp that is over a year old :p

also slashgear will be attending the event and doing live coverage at http://live.slashgear.com - hopefully this time we are allowed to take pictures during the keynote no matter where we are seated. We'll do QIK video before we enter the keynote also

I think you forgot about the HDMI ;)

I Like the Quadro option in the VGA

But if we don't have that It's possible to change the 8600GT to a Quadro Via Software.
But this notbooks will come with another Graphic Card Besides the 8600GT maybe a 9600GT or 9700GT... and this I don't know it it's possible to change to Quadro via software, and what implications can that cause to the system

Im sure this has already been asked but i cba to go through 1000+ posts....

How long do you guys reckon it would take me to get a new macbook if i ordered on tueday? Really dont want to wait too long!

(its my first mac so a little eager) :)

Has anyone speculated whether we might be seeing a macbook sitting on top of a black macbook pro in the invite. Notice the rounded black corners at the upper edges of the invite.

I think the rounded edges are from the original email invites sent out. Without seeing the original, hard to say

It depends on when they are available. Sometimes they're available same day, and sometimes it takes a week or two. My guess is they're be available same day. If so, you should be bale to order online and it should get to you in 2 or 3 days.

steve jobs is prob using a 160 GB RAM 10 TB SSD and a 8.5 Ghz poccer of course he hasn't come up with a case yet so he keeps it in an ipod nano
and by the way he is running OS 15

lol am i lucky? i have two apple stores next to my house one is about 15 minutes away :D
im kinda sick going to the store now haha but after the new macbooks ill be in the store all day

I would hope that these new Macs would be available the day of the media event. This has happened in the past, but I know in the case of the Macbook Air it was not... I'm really hoping that they can get an Nvidia chipset in there. I'm interested in a new Macbook (non-Pro) to replace the old one I just unloaded on Ebay and I've grown super frustrated with the X3100 choppiness in the GUI (which wasn't in the GMA 950 even!). I don't expect (nor do I want) them to squeeze a dedicated graphics card becase of the effect it would have on heat and also the battery. Not much of a gamer, but the current Nvidia integrated solution is comparable with a dedicated 8400M:
