This.

Everyone is reading way too much into that invite. They are not speaking code.

That's the first thing that I thought, been too long since last event, but man you would have to know what people would think and the internet would run with it.

Now they setup a huge fail if they don't update one of those long overdue products. Kinda bad idea for an invite if true.

It's strictly phone size. I don't normally game on my phone. I would benefit with the extra screen size watching videos and reading articles and books. I do plan on waiting until next year, but honestly after seeing the bigger screens the temptation has been a lot stronger to just go ahead and buy. Not to mention smaller things like the camera with optical stabilization and Apple Pay. Neither of those are as tempting as just the screen size. I find myself waiting to watch certain videos or read longer articles until i get to a desktop either at work or until i get home. Having a bigger screen would eliminate that problem. As far as one handed use and pocket comfort i don't think either of those would be an issue for me. I tend to wear clothing with bigger pockets and one handed use isn't a priority for me. I don't think. I still have to experiment and play around with bigger phones.

I've got to ask... what is your interest in the iPhone 6? Hardware and spec wise its so similar to the 5s. Is it just the bigger screen size? What do you do on it where you want a bigger screen at the expense of pocket / walking comfort and 1 handed use?

The biggest bump in hardware capability between the iPhone 6 and 5s is the GPU. And in the GPU benchmark below you can see its a MUCH smaller jump than we typically see in a new iPhone launch. Which is made even more surprising because its got the advantage of a much bigger case and battery to fit in more powerful hardware. For what you are paying, it just seems like a rip off.

Tom's hardware has a more detailed comparison and the 5s screen is much much much better color accuracy, better speakers, better GPU performance for open GL applications. And those are just the objective measurements. This is personal but for me at least the size of the iPhone 6 is off-putting. http://www.tomsguide.com/us/iphone-6-benchmark-results,news-19584.html

I'm curious to hear your thoughts and opinions... but say you really wanted a large screen phone. When the 5s was released it beat out the Galaxy Note 2 in most benchmarks. Think about that, the smallest smart phone, beating out the largest smart phone (not released at same time but co-existing in the same generation). I would expect the iPhone 6 to trounce the Note 4, but it doesn't even come close to the Note 3! To buy the iPhone 6 I would just feel like i got scammed! The wait for a 6s if you want the bigger phone seems like such a no brainer to me. Again, let me know your thoughts, I am not meaning to sound like a git ; )

...It's been way too long.

It's about a concept. TV reinvented. Long overdue.

They would have a massive event, bigger than the :apple: watch event. A new, redesigned TV would touch way more lives and would be much more profitable than anything else. I hope to be wrong...

OSX Yosemite will be released for sure, or at least we get release date.
Mac Mini
iMac (retina?)
iPad Air 2 with Touch ID (confirmed, right?) Because it has been an annual update (almost) every time
ThunderBolt Display / 4(+)K display. Is it possible to build-in Apple TV into that 27" display?

A new AppleTV, sure it has been way too long time since last update ( still A5-chip) Would love a new remote control / app / new awesome remote-thing

"It's been way too long"

People you went to school with and were hoping never to see again are now able to track you down. AppleBook.

It's been too long since:

1) An iPod update
2) An Apple TV update
3) A Mac Mini update
4) Since the PowerBook G5 was supposed to be released
5) IT'S TAKEN TOO LONG TO RAISE JOBS AGAIN AND BRING APPLE BACK FROM THE VERGE OF DOOM!

The ultra-thin 12-inch MBA is actually an iPad Pro, which is just going to be a larger iPad Air - throw in a couple of accessories like a keyboard cover and a stylus, and you've got a gorgeous Surface tablet.

Apple TV

Is this too big a stretch, or am I on track here?

(I want both a new Apple TV and a new Mac Mini... or a combo of the two.)

Like I said earlier about the date being mysteriously the day before the launch of the Note 4, my prediction is an update to this in some fashion...

My wallet is already crying from the new iPhone 6 and my recently bought MacBook Pro Retina in the late summer so the only thing I can be excited about would be.. Yosemite

And Apple, please launch a Photos beta, I hate having to use the "Image Capture.app" and other 3rd party app methods to get my pictures across my Macs and 2015 is far out of reach for my patience..

Hopefully new Apple TVs. I'd love to see one with a built-in camera that could do FaceTime too. And one that takes apps and gives more features.

Definitely a Mac-related announcement

Not the first one to call it but this seems to be the solution to the riddle ...
