Cool, I’ll be picking up a new 5.8 Pro and an Apple Watch cellular. I’m looking forward to the upgrades. This site is too negative.
I too am excited and planning on picking up the 5.8 Pro, no AW for me - quite content with a simple $20 Casio. My expectation is further refinement of a solid all-around product. And coming from the iPhone 6 it will be most welcome.

Apple today sent out media invites for its annual iPhone-centric event that will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the Steve Jobs Theater at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.

The media invites offer up a first look at the theme of the event and feature the tagline "By innovation only."

There's a lot to look forward to when it comes to the 2019 iPhone lineup, which will be the main feature at the September 10 event. Apple is expected to continue to offer three iPhones, two OLED models in 5.8 and 6.5 inches and one LCD model that's 6.1 inches, but all three will see camera improvements.

The two OLED models are said to have triple-lens camera setups arranged within in a square bump, with the setup including a telephoto lens, a wide-angle lens, and a new super-wide angle lens.

Users will be able to zoom out further to capture a wider field of view, and the new setup will bring improvements to low-light images. As for the 6.1-inch iPhone, it's getting a dual-camera setup for the first time.

Apple is going to use a new matte finish for the iPhones, and they're said to feature better shatter and water resistance for improved durability. Face ID is being improved and will work from more angles, but there won't be other changes to the notch.

3D Touch is also being eliminated in favor of the haptic feedback system first introduced with the iPhone XR. Bilateral wireless charging, bigger batteries, a new AMX co-processor and A13 chip are some of the other features that we're expecting to see.

Apple's fall event also often includes the Apple Watch, and while it's looking like we're not going to see many updates to the watch this year, there are hints of new ceramic and titanium models.

New iPad Pro models, a new 10.2-inch iPad, and a new high-end 16-inch MacBook Pro are also on the horizon and are expected to launch in the fall, but it's not clear if Apple will introduce these at its September event or hold a second fall event as it often does.

Apple's new hardware will ship with the latest version of iOS, iOS 13, and ahead of when the new iPhones launch, we can expect to see iOS 13 released alongside macOS Catalina, watchOS 6, iPadOS, and tvOS 13.

Two new services, Apple Arcade and Apple TV+, are going to launch this fall, so we may hear additional details including pricing information and release timelines at the September event.

As with past events, Apple will stream the event live on its website and on the Apple TV when it kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, but for those who are unable to watch, MacRumors will be providing full event coverage both on MacRumors.com and through the MacRumorsLive Twitter account.

I’m sure others have already said this, but we now know the colors of this year’s iPhone 11R. Just look at the Apple. Blue, Red, Purple, Yellow, Green

So much cynicism on here. Many of their best innovations have come on years when there are no noticeable changes to the hardware. They may not be big splashy changes, but that isn't what I like about Apple. I like the seemingly small, but very clever updates that change the way we use the technology. I heard there might be a significant change to how the phones record video for example. What they did last year to reduce blown highlights was incredible. Can't wait to see further improvements in that area.

A lot of people Bag on an "S" year models, but the "S" models brought us TouchID and 2GB of ram on the 6S. The XS models were the outliers cuz not much interesting happened.

Exactly! it’s not all about design and big changes. I’m personally looking forward to seeing what features they add and what they do with the camera lens. I’m looking at upgrading from my X so I will be watching :)

So it's that time of the year right ?
I'm really curious about the iPhone design ... really want to see that during the presentation.
And of course that 16" macbook will be amazing imho

I hope by using the word "innovation" they don't mean new emojis...or even incremental improvements.
INNOVATION is reserved for moments like unveiling of iMac, iPod, iPhone, iPad, etc....BIG Moments in Apple history.
As such the last "innovation" was the introduction of the iPad.

so, innovation will be just small evolution, not brand new models...
Looks like it... and while everybody have their whole lineup in SuperAmoled and most are offering enough RAM or the option for an SD-card... I'm curious what Apple solution will be. Timmy probably hopes you'll expand your iCloud storage for 'just' 9,99 a month to make good for not raising the prices

Huawei or samsung have better looking backs with triple or quadruple camera's, more symmetrie. But maybe it's a design choice to set apple apart from the rest.

I hope there are some compelling reasons to upgrade we haven't heard of. If not... well, it's an very expensive device with nothing more than others already offer for half the price.

On a "Hope so, but doubt it" note, I'd like to see a new iMac with a T2 chip. Kind of amazing how all other Macs have had one, and have been SSD-only, for what seems like over a year at least, but not so for the iMac. I'd think that having it would streamline the R&D and manufacturing process, but what do I know? I'm not in manufacturing nor operations.

It looks like the animation on the top of the HomePod for Siri. Hopefully it means we’re gonna see premium over the ear headphones from Apple’s in house audio team.

I really feel that Apple has the SOC skills to really change the entire field of noise canceling headphones. Imagine the A10 or higher in these guys devoted to only Siri and noise canceling. Could be amazing.

I’m really holding out for these - Fry take my money jpeg at the ready

I don't give a crap about their latest overpriced phones or high-end laptops. But I love that Apple logo. I want the poster for this event.

The ipad back then was not more important than apple watch

Same. Looking forward to the wide-angle lens on the 11 pro and whatever new video features they have in store. Really hoping for native sleep tracking on the Apple Watch.
We don’t need a wider lens. Long lens would be innovative. Optical variable zoom would be really innovative.
