Apple Invites Media to September 12 Event at Apple Park: 'Gather Round'

Uh. Round watch does has its nostalgia going for it. Yet it’s only efficient for the dial face as that doesn’t waste any space. Have a look at the WearOS and other Google or Tizen watches all round, all having lots of water space and horrible UI layout for information. Sure the circular dial around the edge is useful for macro/micro controls for data manipulation in some aspects but his is easily replicated using the Digital Crown.
Rectangular shape of the Apple Watch clearly shows more data and decent space allocation to separate data being displayed. Also allows for better touch controls.
Our opinions vary but nobody yet has shown a great digital watch not wasting so much space with a round face like a traditional watch.
Apple Watch Series 4 Nike+ in all black please like SS versions. MBP already purchased and used. iPhone 8 will keep me for a few months. Hoping great deals here in Canada for 2yr contracts that allow providers to buy back devices to reduce monthly costs of device ownership.

No I Understood you meant and others seem to agree with my reply to you, but you also use the word “Advertised”, why would I ever ‘Advertise’ something they don’t plan on keeping. That was my point would you seemingly took out of context.

Of course everyone knows what is the image, but this suggest something. A rounded smartwatch? never says never. They can have both form factor.

To me the colors are definitely hinting at a gold with black front iPhone X.
Fair enough re: colors. I was referring to the "round" bit, but my original post wasn't so clear.

Perhaps... Apple is unleashing a line of products to compete directly with Amazon Echo/Alexa, and these round products will not only be Siri smart devices that work with smart home products like Nest and ring.com but also will combine Apple TV hardware/services. <boom>
Everyone guessed this date. It wasn't going to be next week right after labor day weekend, it wasn't going to be on 9-11, and it is never on a Monday (9-10).

If it is in the store, then the store will take your credit card and give you a phone. But T-Mobile stores might not have them in stock. End of September might be too soon to just be able to walk in and buy.
