"It's cute when you're desperate for information" and "Look deep within yourself, especially on September 9th"

Better health info from AW sensors? FDA has approved new usages?

Couldn't give a **** about Mac OSX since Windows is better, a bigger iPad doesn't appeal since it'll be using ARM and not x86, Apple TV does nothing for me....

All about the iPhone, but since it is the s, that is hardly exciting, especially since the 6 is so ugly.

I really could care less what Apple is going to show in the coming days. I think Apple's products are getting tired just as Google products are getting tired as well. We need a new breath of fresh air from a new innovated company that can be inspiring and totally thinks out of the box. It was fun with Apple and google but it’s time for someone else to take the reigns and go forward. Thanks

So what would you consider outside the box?

Cheers, I will let Tim know at dinner. But what would you have in mind, really? I for one reckon if Force Touch is implimented right, say for closing all apps in the switcher amd clearing all notifications like on the watch it will be brilliant.

its funny because force touch would generally be against Apples philosophy. It will just add another layer of complexity to using an iPhone. Not just going to be a device a person can pick up and intuitively use. the solution would be to not integrate force touch very heavily.

Maybe but Mac Rumors has been going on about the iPad Pro being announced at this even for a while.
I doubt it. Unless the force touch stuff would give away iPad "Pro" secrets so they have to be announced together.

you know what would make this event really special - upgrades to the mac pro, a professional version of the iMac, retina macbook airs (and cheaper than the present models), and maybe something bout a phone.

and lets not forget the apple tv, the mouse, and aperture level upgrades to photos.

That'd push the event length to almost 2 1/2 hours an hour over the standard event timeframe ...

EDIT: Once you put the iCal event link in Calendar from September Event 2015 Watch it live on 9/9 10 a.m. PDT. it'll show up as 2 hr time block for the event ..

Sure lets keep things dumbed down because we think people are stupid and can't/won't learn anything. I kept hearing how confusing the Watch UI was yet 5 minutes after I had my watch on my wrist I knew exactly what to do, and I've had very little if any confusion using the device. People say force touch isn't intuitive and doesn't have visual clues. What visual clues are there for long press?

clearing all notifications would be nice, but closing all apps in the switcher is not necessary and never going to happen. this has been gone over many many times.

lookibg at invitation it appears to me to be that the apple stem represents a finger and it is pressing down on the iPhone screen to indicate force touch.

Very possible it was made in the USA like the Mac Pro - which was a surprise to all.
Not a surprise at all. Tim Cook said several times they were going to make a product in the USA, people were wondering if it was going to be the mac mini or the mac pro.

  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad Mini
  • iPad Mini 2
  • iPad Mini 3
  • iPhone 4S
  • iPhone 5
  • iPhone 5C
  • iPhone 5S
  • iPhone 6
  • iPhone 6 Plus
  • iPod Touch 5th generation

Looking from left to right, the wave on the left seems to be 'chaotic', with the wave on the right being more 'streamlined'. Could it be that the apple leaf represents a device or service to streamline the existing 'chaotic' landscape into a 'streamlined' experience? #foodforthought

Apples hoodwinked young people especially, since they're easily fooled and easily amused. Add in the fact that they want to believe Siri is magical, you've just witnessed another stroke of Apple marketing genius. Smoke and mirrors sales pitches continue to endure. Apple simply polishes them to suit their purposes :D

Not really, the track pad gestures are hard to explain but simple to use. Force touch is similar.

What do you want?
Phones are pretty much reaching their pinnacle, it's going to incremental updates from now on. The smart watch is in it's infancy. People have been working self driving cars for ages and it shows no real signs of taking off yet.
