I really could care less what Apple is going to show in the coming days. I think Apple's products are getting tired just as Google products are getting tired as well. We need a new breath of fresh air from a new innovated company that can be inspiring and totally thinks out of the box. It was fun with Apple and google but it’s time for someone else to take the reigns and go forward. Thanks

Apple are doomed you know.

It's not as if they've posted record numbers of iPhone sales pretty much consistently, or posted the largest quarter for a U.S. firm ever is it?

Oh, wait...

Why do people think apple will talk about apple TV at the next iPhone event? Is there anything substantial at all that would lead us to believe that?

The location is big, so it will not be an iPhone only event.
In the past some iPhones (4S, 5 and 5S if I remember correctly) were announced in Cupertino to a small audience. This time, like in 2014, the invite is extended to thousand of people so they can't show only a revamped iPhone

Not that I am aware, they are just taking the discount as a sign. I don't use it myself, I am not really in "THE LOOP".

LOOP, THE:
Location where Apple employees involved in the design or executive areas of Apple are in. Not to be confused as where those with no credible evidence their claim to be on their posts.

I can't wait until battery life becomes a focus point of new release phones. With the rumors of the battery being even smaller, it makes me think the battery life of the 6s won't be any different than the 6 at all.

Well that's a useful comment in no way whatsoever. Like who? Who has the money to develop in the way these companies do?

Even the next gen stuff like Oculus and Cast AR and Magic leap are developing innovative tech but all have big company backing now. Tesla are innovating in their industry. Ideas are cheap. Actually producing something real is not.

The next real big innovation will be someway down the line. I am sure someone somewhere is doing working black ops research into direct to Ocular or Neural interfaces and that will be the start of the next paradigm in computing.

Interesting that Siri is using non-American date formatting for the responses. 9 September?

Edit: Apologies, looks like the screenshots are simply from someone not using American date formatting.

Anyway, speaking as someone who can quite easily fill 64GB with large music playlists, having 128GB at the 64GB price point would be pretty awesome.

Looking from left to right, the wave on the left seems to be 'chaotic', with the wave on the right being more 'streamlined'. Could it be that the apple leaf represents a device or service to streamline the existing 'chaotic' landscape into a 'streamlined' experience? #foodforthought
If the wave is moving left to right, what does the loss of the blue and green signify? (Haven't read every response on the thread so don't know if someone mentioned that)

Can't see 128GB being at the price point of the 64GB

So is this event not going to talk about the iPad Pro?

unfortunately probably not, Apple tend to announce iPad's in October at the same event as Mac's. I would love for them to announce the iPad Pro because it's what I'm waiting for, but i think the September event will be new iPhone's and a new Apple TV. Unless Tim Cook does a "One more thing" and surprises us all.

Update: Siri itself is also getting in on the festivities with some witty responses.

No, there isn't. There are vague rumours about a new Apple TV, but nothing conclusive. Everything you read here is just a continuation of rumours and speculation on top of those rumours based on the invitation.

That still doesn't indicate an Apple TV at all. I don't see a reason to switch to a larger auditorium just to announce a new Apple TV with Apps.

Maybe to demo it on big TV screens, apart from iPhones and Apple TV what else could they announce?

The only reason is to invite more people and to have room to showcase the products after the event.
There is no specific clue about Apple TV so it could be anything else but at this time the TV is a good guess.
In 2014 they introduced Apple Pay and the Watch so they needed a broader audience to include people interested in payments and in fashion.
This year the audience may include people interested in TV shows, movies, maybe games.
