Enjoy, it's kinda of cool, I will post a video up on You Tube tomorrow of the iPhone display if anyone cares to see it...

Suh-weeeeeet!

Why now?

Is it normal protocol for Apple to set up displays for an item not yet released? I would have thought these displays would have been sighted on the evening of Thursday, the 28th. Color Shuffle displays weren't around until they were available, right? What about when the new nano's went on sale? Was there a "preview" display? :apple:TV displays weren't up until you could actually buy it either, and it in fact was previewed in the Keynote before it was available. I know the iPhone was made public 6 months ago, but it just seems out of the norm for the company to set displays up already for something you can't actually buy yet. Hmmmm........ My hampster wheel is spinning.......:D

I guess it's just more "tease" for us considering the signage, adamantly sticking to the 29th date.

Snaps from Aspen Grove

I drove by the Aspen Grove store in Denver on my way to work this AM and got these pics. Nothing different from what has already been posted, but I thought some of you may be interested anyway. I must say, the design of this thing is slick and, if the transitions and interface are truly as smooth as what has been shown on TV, the internet, and this display, this phone is amazing.

Yes, just what I was thinking. People are going to go crazy when close to the monol... errr iPhone display. :p

EDIT: How about that? Imagine a commercial similar to the 1984 one, basically the intro of Space odyssee, but with an iPhone :)

Resolution independent UI! So this is more of a spotted cat than a striped one...

These POS shots look awesome - but I wonder if AT&T stores will feature a similar display?

- or in Orange Stores in the UK...

Apple and Orange - the advertising practically writes itself... mmm... wonder if they sell Blackberries too.....urghhhhhhh....fruit salad....mmmmmmm

has it been confirmed that orange will be the carrier in the UK?

MR Tabs:

Mac Rumors, Page 2, iPhone, Buyer's Guide, Shop, Guides, Forums

No need for a separate tab for iPhone. iPhone is a Mac; only it doesn't have enough software running on it (yet) for you to recognize it as such. MR is simply ahead of their time and know where Steve is going with this product.

Besides, Steve doesn't want us talking about anything else besides iPhone until further notice. That's why the keynote told us very little new about Leopard: it would distract us from his main goal of us talking about iPhone.

I wonder of Dom Jolly has reserved one of the big ones, his current phone is looking a bit dated...

it would be really smart for apple to release the new iMac the same day as the iPhone (or a day or two before)... especially since they're expecting line-ups at the Apple Store...

Would you be bothered about a new iMac if you were in the presence of an iPhone
