power cords

well the power cord are only to have light inside the giant iPhones.
Why is that so impressive?

Wrong. It will be a status symbol at first (and probably for a while). Seriously, have you ever hidden a gadget because you don't want people to ask you about it? I'm going with no.

I have when I first got my Cowon A2. I did not want people asking why did you get that device, or people drop it(didnt know how durable it was when I first got one).

Help me out here. At my local AT&T store (Canton, Ohio) how many iPhones should they have? I'm I better off going up to Legacy Village in Cleveland for the iPhone.

I got my Newton, and Newton 2000 the first day they were released. I don't want to be shut out with the iPhone.

Any help is appreciated.

Hollywood?

What Apple store in Hollywood?

Unless I'm mistaken, the nearest store to Hollywood is the one at The Grove. Note, The Grove is not in Hollywood. It would be Los Angeles. The area could conceivably be called, among other things, Fairfax, Hancock Park-ish, CBS center, Farmers Market... but NOT Hollywood.

fyi, no one actually lives in Hollywood. There are more tourists there than actual residents.

fyi, Hollywood is pretty much a pit. There are more tourists there than actual residents.

Exactly that what I tought it might be. As I noted out there is three listed as Los Angels on the Apple site and those three are with in a few miles from Hollywood. Well it could be the Beverly Center store seeing how that is about a mile and half south of the West Hollywood area and Sunset Blvd.

Well, the Beverly Center area would be called Beverly Center or La Cienega or 3rd St.

Hollywood would be considered east of La Brea, west of Western, north of Santa Monica blvd.

Saying the Bev Center or Grove stores are in Hollywood would be like saying the 5th ave nyc store is in Greenwich Village.

Yes that is true but all I was saying was that the Beverly Center is close to West Hollywood. So one may get confused and call it that.

Anybody who actually went to their local Apple Store today, did you notice any changes in anything? In some areas where there used to be Mac Minis had turned to MacPros. Other Mac Minis were being worked on too. Also, there were several removed iPod video displays with cut security cables. I don't know if anybody posted that the employees had new shirts that showed June 29 on a calender (I believe in iCal format [I don't have a Mac]), and "iPhone coming" above it. There were some posters that had the same general logo and words on it in the store.

iPhones Already Delivered to Stores

Caught this grab shot while visiting the San Francisco Apple Store last week...No, it's not an AT&T product delivery truck. But YOU would have taken the same shot if you were there (grin).

Great shot! Thanks.

I wonder if Stevee is going to be at any of the Apple stores on Friday?

I saw one of these beauties at the :apple: Store in Pasaden, CA last night. I was amazed to see the dozens (at a time) of people who crowded in front of the display.

On a side note, a couple things:

1) The AT&T version of the display lacks something... I know what it is; Apple's touch!

2) Does anyone know if the 'giant iPhone' at the :apple: Stores are built to scale?

i think security is already upped

i passed by the chicago store today and there were two guards, probably armed, standing in front of the side entrance for employees and theres always trucks going into the alley behind the store.
