Wait a minute... with no home button surly Siri will need some kind of gesture to be activated? That is, unless they're not including Siri.
Here. I've explained the simplicity already.

They also did it for the iPad 2.Apple usually doesn't show the product itself in the invite tease. And we've already seen the new wallpapers in iOS 5.1, so why does the device in this invite show the old droplets wallpaper? I'll tell you why. I have no idea!
If it's upside down, where is the camera?
I could see them dropping the signature home button. It looks kind of dumb on a tablet (IMHO) but I still want it on my iPhone. The gestures work great on iPad, one of my favorite features.
Apple is never afraid to push the envelope. You say they couldn't drop the home button...don't be surprised, that's all I'm saying.![]()
Now that Apple has the Retina -- they have turned their attention to audio with the whole hi-fidelity thing and the home button area is not shown ... because it would reveal the new speakers!
All I know, is that Schiller and Forstall would be having many LOLs, if they looked at this thread.
"They see us trollin'...they guessing!"
The spacing of the dock icons suggests otherwise.
I swear i'd never buy an iPad, but at $349 for a 16GB wifi version, i may just have to swoop in and buy an iPad 2 IF this happens.
The spacing looks precisely like landscape mode.. /boggle

Gizmodo demonstrate it quite well.
Some of you must only own iPhones and not iPads. The iPad shows the dock in landscape mode too. In landscape, the icons have extra spacing (like the picture).
On a side note..That calendar icon is considerably less pixelated than on my iPad 2.
