5

Anyone else notice the shadow looks like a number "5" even though the number casting the shadow is "12". I think that might be a hint for something they will release. iPhone 5 perhaps?

Just a guess...

In that leaked printing press photo, what background image is that? Is that the galaxy image like the ones in osx?

Woefully fake.

YouTube app present, confirmed as removed from iOS 6.

iOS 6 logo, but no iCloud logo, which has become commonplace on packaging.

The latest iPad is named "the new iPad", but the packaging simply says, "iPad".

The Mountain Lion galaxy wallpaper is not the official iOS 6 background, it is the water ripples which mirror the iOS 6 icon itself.

I done did some detective worms :D quite proud actually.

You'd be surprised how much of a difference a better cell chip can make.

I guarantee when the marketing dept sits around determining the naming convention, details like CPU, baseband, OS version, and hardware generation NEVER come into the conversation. What networks it will connect to obviously came up for the 3G, but that would be the exception to the rule, not vice versa.

25 pages of everyone saying that and you're just now figuring it out? Lol

Because....

What is common sense about the 6th gen iPhone being named the iPhone 5?

iPhone model names have NEVER corresponded to generations. :D They may have accidentally been the same on occasion but the numbers simply do not denote gererations. Why do people suddenly think they should?

And the press does not look like it is running, I don't see the stack on the out feeder where she would have pulled the press sheet from.

Ew. So instead of calling the 2012 iPad--which actually is the 3rd iPad--the iPad 3, they call it the iPad. For clarity.

Then the same year, they decide to call the 2012 iPhone the iPhone 5--despite the fact that it is neither the 5th major version of its shell, but the 3rd; nor the 5th phone they released, since it's the 6th)

Backwards. As hell.

yeah especially since its really just a damn long narrow iphone 4S2 anyway..
