It is obvious about the 5. Apple obviously did it on purpose. We've had part leaks for months. Part manufacturing estimate leaks etc etc and the list goes on. Just nice for Apple to confirm what we all, all ready know.

I struggle with the 6th generation iPhone, with an A6 processor, running iOS 6 and 4G LTE being called the iPhone 5. With all those numbers floating around it seems like a marketing nightmare. I would have gone with "The new iPhone" -- unless Apple feels like doing that with the iPad caused confusion.

Was it a marketing nightmrare with the iPad 2? Or the iPhone 4s? The iOS number didn't match! No it was fine! So stop saying ppl will get confused
 
There are 5 devices they could update: iphone, ipod touch, ipod nano, ipod shuffle and ipod classic. It could just be the iphone 5, but I doubt it. Also they could discontinue the ipod classic and introduce ipad mini. Anything is possible.

On the back of the phone it will just say iPhone like all the others coz that is what it is. The other bit number/letter is just there so that when you go and buy it you don't get suckered into the old one by mistake - coz you is stoopid! see.

I've been thinking the same thing. That 2 tone bs part metal part glass is not going to happen. I'll bet 100 yen on it.
 
If anyone doesn't realize they are referring to the iPhone 5 in the invitation they should literally take a baseball bat and smash whatever device/computer they are posting on these forums from, because they are @$%^ing brain dead.
