Apple Just Increased Prices on MacBooks, iPads, and More

Perfect. I've been considering buying one to replace my Wife's M1 Pro for about 6 weeks and have been waffling because I wasn't sure if price increase would occur now or at the next refresh.
Just now ordered a MacBook Pro from BestBuy. Total Tech = 2 years of AppleCare+ included.
14-inch MacBook Pro in Space Black with M5 Pro chip
18-core CPU, 20-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine
24GB unified memory
2TB SSD storage
Paid $2,583.59 (BestBuy Price Matched Amazon's Price)
That same machine on Apple.com right now is $3,199.00 after the increases.

Sad to say it already has. £149 > £199 for the base WiFi only model, £169 > £249 for the Ethernet model.
The Vision Pro increase is just ridiculous, nobody is buying them, and the units are already manufactured at the pre-AI memory crisis prices, and sitting in inventory collecting dust.
Wow I got an M5 Max from Microcenter 2 months ago for $4199 with 64 GB and 2 TB SSD. That's now $5399 from Apple.
I'm tempted to go back and upgrade to the 128/4TB which they're still selling for $5399 since they haven't reacted to Apple's price increase yet. Apple wants $6999 for that now.
ETA: OMG I was wrong, Apple wants $7999 for the 128/4TB config.

Already have, £249 for top end one, was £169. Still available for old price on Curry's, JL, Argos etc. But not for long I expect!

May not raise as high as Apple immediately, but it very likely will, so buy now while it's still on sale.

The HomePod mini has been $99 since it was released in 2020. Accounting for inflation that’s now roughly…$129.
It's not a new one, it's from 2022. Still available at Argos, JL for the old price. But as soon as they cotton on they will raise prices too.

I got my order completed in the proverbial nick of time for my new ipad and mbp.

Updating my Mac Mini M1 is definitely on hold lol. It's getting slow on Apple RAW photos. Video is ok though, weird. Updating remains an option because this M1 Mini has been a solid workhorse these past six years and has certainly paid for itself.
Perhaps I'll get a thunderbolt dock and put the MBP into desktop duty.

Get your MacBook Air for $949 at Amazon while you still can. Also, there's a tombstone right next to the Mac Pro for the Vision Pro at $3699, yikes!

Woah......I'm glad I didn't hold out for the M6 when I upgraded my MBP back in March. Got a 16" with nano-texture, 48GB of RAM and 4TB SSD for $3,934. Just checked for the same specs now and it's $5,249. That's a 33% bump.

That, is Nvidia's and the others ultimate goal, they want to kill the PC market stone dead and for you literally to pay them a sub as you said to use a PC, and I bet that will spread to phones and tablets too. Apple will happily go along with it as long as they can make billions and so will many members on here who are Apple share holders. Jensen is so utterly deluded he thinks you will have a 10 grand supercomputer in every house, or outside your house on YOUR land will be a Ai server using YOUR electricity and internet buy you may NOT even use it.. He has literally said all this.
Thankfully many companies are fast realising, after laying staff off and moving over to Ai systems, they do not actually do anywhere NEAR what they were promised to, because it is one big fat lie, and are having to spend more money to undo the damage and try to build relations back up again lol. Serves them right. Ai is fake, sold on nothing more than hype and empty promises but companies are making billions off the lie!
This might be an opportunity for google and microsoft to poach customers away from apple

I should have added that I already own that one. Bought when new, and I’ve been waiting for the newer model when it’s finally released - like a lot of us.
But I don’t think I’ll be shelling out that much, assuming it even stays at this price.
Bloody hell Apple.
...and why would a device with unimproved 6 year old technology and components be adjusted to an inflation-comparable price? It's inherent value has decreased over time.

I was just about ready to buy one from Best Buy in Colma, CA, but I paused to check the Target stores in San Francisco.
When I saw that Target was sold out all the way to Berkeley, I went back to Best Buy, and it was now sold out.
I guess it’ll be BART to Berkeley this morning for me for pickup.
