I’ve been waiting incase I love the design of the 14” MBP (been hating on all the Mac’s giant bezels for a while), but might just get the MBA as I don’t really need the extra performance (well, when the promo hits the UK).
Most places in the northern US are approximately September 1 to June 15. Southern schools tend to run August 1 to May 15. Many variations in between of course...US school summers last about 3 months, AFAIK, whereas in the UK they're six weeks.
Yes. they will usually do this. Especially if it is still in the full return period. Worst case, return and re-buy but they know you are going to do that so it's way easier to just send you the air pods. Just be nice when you call, be the kind of customer someone wants to help.I literally bought a macbook air on the education store yesterday. Do you think if I called they'd give me the deal? The laptop is still in the box so I could return it.
Yep. Really long summer breaks. UK school year runs from early September to mid July rather than mid June. Most places in the northern US are approximately September 1 to June 15. Southern schools tend to run August 1 to May 15. Many variations in between of course...
Back-to-school doesn't just have to be for the fall season. Some people go to summer school. The day after school ended (in Maryland) and it’s already back-to-school season.
Happened to me last year - I called support and they added on the Airpods.I literally bought a macbook air on the education store yesterday. Do you think if I called they'd give me the deal? The laptop is still in the box so I could return it.
no it doesn'tDoes this apply to refurbished items purchases in the Apple store?
Don't forget the privacy differences between. Apple wins for the price, integration, and privacy, in my opinion. You know, the MacBook Air is really a good deal considering the alternatives. For $999 you get top performance and the great experience of Apple products. The only real competitor is Microsoft Surface laptop, and that costs even more than $999. The other alternatives (Chromebooks, cheap Lenovo etc) are just urgh - poor quality and the designs are so outdated. With educational pricing and free AirPods it's a no brainer.
Not if the kid's school forces Chrome OS on them. You know, the MacBook Air is really a good deal considering the alternatives. +1 and probably no "larger iMac" till ...Oct or Nov event??So no new MacBook Pro until this promo is over?
Yep. Apple does not participate in surveillance capitalism.Don't forget the privacy differences between. Apple wins for the price, integration, and privacy, in my opinion.
Not trolling, and I don't know much about dell machines, but I was at Costco last weekend and saw a nice looking XPS 13, but the pricing was in the $1,600 range. Seemed a little high vs an 899 macbook air.The MacBook Air *is* a great deal, but there are plenty of other competitors in the $1000 laptop range than "Chromebooks, cheap Lenovo etc. " It's very different than the $400 budget PC space you're talking about. Envy 13, Zenbook 13, XPS 13 can all be found at that price.
You can get them for $849 on the low end (8G and 256G). Even as a PC guy I'd never argue they're as nice as an M1 Mac but theyre very good. Not trolling, and I don't know much about dell machines, but I was at Costco last weekend and saw a nice looking XPS 13, but the pricing was in the $1,600 range. I thought it felt a little early for this promotion to me.The day after school ended (in Maryland) and it’s already back-to-school season.
No new MBP until they're ready. So no new MacBook Pro until this promo is over?
It doesn't say...look at how long the offer lasted in previous years, or ask Apple.for how long.. until when?
That makes perfect sense. I was wondering why there was such a difference. Probably a 16GB/1TB machine with 4K screen or something high end that I didn't even notice. You can get them for $849 on the low end (8G and 256G). Even as a PC guy I'd never argue they're as nice as an M1 Mac but theyre very good.
Costco doesn't usually stock the low end of the high end PC lines, if that makes sense.
Not according to Craig Federighi 🤣Don't forget the privacy differences between. Apple wins for the price, integration, and privacy, in my opinion.
My point was the author should have included more details. It doesn't say...look at how long the offer lasted in previous years, or ask Apple.
It's not listed on the offer page so maybe Apple didn't say.My point was the author should have included more details.
Absolutely. I was hoping they would include the Mini this year since I have been in the market for one. With the free AirPods promotion, student discount, 3% off (Apple Cash) with the Apple Card, and best of all, the sales tax free weekend my state has the first weekend in August, I’ll be picking it up then. Gotta stack those offers, discounts, and incentives! They did add the Mac mini to eligible items this year which is good.
