I went on and ordered the Incase Snap Case for iPhone 4 - Clear case

I don't have the issue since I live. In Germany where the signal is very strong, but why deny a free case?

of course the selection sucks LOL:D

3-5 weeks shipping... pssssssh.

WHAT?!? No color selection on the bumpers? Your making me angry Steve Jobs. You wont like me when I'm angry.

just the black bumper? wow that's lame alright...

As stated before....lame selection of cases for offer. LOOOOOOOOOOOVE that I have to wait 3-5 weeks to get one.

what the f this is a load of crock! first off they wont be offering a white phone and now plain cases?!

People whining and complaining about their FREE case... I'll never cease to be amazed.

+1 - but isn't the Speck PixelSkin HD a soft case? Anyone have experience with it?

Yeah, it's a TPU case. The same material as the iSkin Solos for the iPhone 3G. In between a silicone case and a polycarbonate/plastic hard case as far as it's "hardness" is concerned.

umm, where are you finding the app? Or do I need to go home and get the app via itunes? When I launch the app store (from the iphone) nothing shows up under any of these search terms:

apple
iphone
case
program

If you sign up and get a free bumper, you are agreeing to all the terms and conditions of the program. Has anyone looked at those "terms and conditions?"

(edit) Anyone know whether you are agreeing to waive any rights in the class action lawsuit that is sure to come?

iPhone 4 Case Program – United States
Customers who purchase an iPhone 4 from an Apple Retail Store, Apple Online Store, 1-800-MY-APPLE, or an Apple Authorized iPhone Reseller though September 30, 2010, are eligible for an iPhone 4 Bumper or other case at no cost. Customers who purchased an iPhone 4 before July 23, 2010 have through August 22, 2010 (30 days) to submit a claim. All other customers have 30 days from the purchase date of iPhone 4 to submit a claim. All claims are subject to the terms and conditions below.
Terms and Conditions
• All claims must be submitted through the iPhone 4 Case Program app.
• Only one claim may be submitted per eligible iPhone 4.
• A unique claim must be submitted from each unique iPhone 4.
• iPhone 4 Bumper and case selection is at the sole discretion of Apple.
• Apple reserves the right to substitute iPhone 4 Bumpers or other cases based on available supply.
• Apple collects specific data, including phone number, model, serial number and IMEI, to identify and validate your iPhone 4 in order to confirm eligibility.
• Customers must have an active iTunes or Apple ID to submit a claim.
• Any iPhone 4 that has been returned is not eligible.
Apple reserves the right to deny or disregard any claim deemed to be false or fraudulent. This program is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Apple is not responsible for printing or database errors. Customers should keep copies of these Terms and Conditions. Apple reserves the right to change without notice the Terms and Conditions, modify the program, or end the program at any time.
Doesn't seem to be saying anything about not participating in a class-action suit.

it keeps saying my password has expired… It’s not.

I keep getting incorrect password but I can log into my iTunes account with the same password?!? Is it because I got thru AOL when I log into iTunes?!? This is all extremely frustrating.

type in iPhone 4 Case Program and then hit Go. it did not show up for me until I hit go.

Crap, I wanted a white bumper!

I went to the online Apple store hoping that I could sneakily order a white bumper then get refunded, but the price of all bumpers has been changed to £0, and they're listed as currently unavailable.

Damnit!

I wouldn't be whining if we were told up front that the selection would be utter ***** with only 1 colour of bumper to chose from. I don't know why people are so quick to defend apple.

So if we used a Credit Card @ a retail store, should we automatically get the refund?

Yes. They have been automatically crediting ALL in store purchases made with a credit card since a couple of days ago. I found it odd that they are crediting ALL Bumper purchases, not just one per customer. I've purchased 3 in store (black, green, and orange) so far, and as of this morning, I've received a credit back for each one. I guess maybe this is easier for them to do with in store purchases though, as they aren't linked to an iTunes account in any way. I only expected 1 refund, but crediting back all of them is a very nice offer from Apple.

Refund vs Case

I bought a Bumper so I should be getting a refund.

Do I get both or just one or the other?

It would be great if I can get both. The refund and the free case.

Nevermind, got it.

I went with a black Bumper. (I was hoping for color options, but even my local Apple store only had black available when they had any in stock.)

I have a Griffin Reveal and I'm quite happy with it. I haven't had any scratches or the problem with the flash as someone else mentioned.
