What does that third line mean? I think they are missing a word.

Is the 8+ under this program? My device isn’t eligible, which is good so far.

Well, that sucks for iPhone 8 owners. Apple had a full plate last year to scale though with 3 models. I didn’t buy my iPhone X until March of this year. It’s always best to wait out a bit.

Last year is the first year since the 3G that I didn’t purchase a new iPhone the day it bacame available and I’ve never had a problem.

This is why I love Apple.
They ALWAYS go above and beyond all other companies to provide customers with the best possible service, even if it costs them a lot of money.

When I rapidly press my volume buttons, my iPhone 8 restarts. Its serial number isn't on the list for this program, though.
It is still under the one year warranty. Get it fixed while you can. When you rapidly press the volume buttons to replicate the issue, tell them you’re doing it so they see it happen. It happens under normal usage too but don’t want to waste their time. Easier to just do what replicates it.
I just tried it in mine for a full minute, and no restart.

They are right about 'a small percentage'. Mine was purchased around November 2017 and the serial number is not valid.

I think I purchased mine on Christmas Eve (2017), and my serial number is not in the affected batch of phones. Glad for myself, but I feel bad for others that have a phone that are part of the recall.

Do tell. How is Apple is going above and beyond? There's a problem with a device they manufactured, and they are going to make fix it. In my dictionary, this is what is SUPPOSED to happen.

Has anyone with a Verizon iPhone 8 been included in the recall? It might be Intel modems only.

My phone has a Qualcom modem. I purchased it directly from Apple as a SIM free, unlocked device

Um yea, I’d say they sold about a good 100 million at least. And? Get a life.

Oh dear. You cannot see that even 'a small percentage' of 'a good 100 million' phones would mean many people inconvenienced with yet another iPhone issue.

So what? Problems are fixed. Apple literally sells 1 BILLION iPhones every 4 years now. The build quality is incredible - THE best in the business and so is the support. This repair program is a perfect example.

Stop hating.

Watch Rossman going through the list of Apple defects and then scale that up to those massive numbers. That's a lot of people who have paid a premium for machines with issues that should not have been allowed to happen.

I have an iPhone (which is subject to the Touch ID recall - which I have experienced several times without dropping the phone like Apple says will have happened) and an iPad. Only this year I have purchased a MacBook Pro (which is subject to the keyboard recall) and a Series 3 watch.

I wouldn't keep buying if I was a hater but I don't believe in blindly supporting Apple without recognising that there are issues.

The only thing that this proves is that 100% of phones aren't affected.

Correct. And Apple has the very best customer service and repair in the industry. Good of you to recognize.
[doublepost=1535752816][/doublepost]Very funny for those who try to cast this in a negative light. This is Apple taking care of it's customers. They do so better than any company in the industry.
Oh you mean like how they took care of 6 owners with Touch Disease?

wait something must be wrong, from this board i learned that apple doesn't fix anything unless there is a class action lawsuit pending. WHAT'S GOING ON!?

if that's what's supposed to happen than every other manufacturer must fail your test then.
