Why are poeple Stressing over Me.com being up or down? Apple has not officially said that Me.com was going to launch today at a certain time. They actually did say that .mac service was going to be unavailable while they did the upgrade/transition to me.com service.

now get back to work people!!! Give it a rest.........

Bah wtf where is my e-mail.... i cant work knowing that this new service will be available soon.. Ignore my rant above.:p

Actually, the Apple press release said MobileMe would launch between 6PM and 12AM PST on the 9th.

It's now 6AM on the 10th!

Plus you forget that .mac users are left without access to all of the features they are paying for.

Just noticed on the computer at work: me.com is not entirely compatible with IE 7...

"2.0 Software Update (available July 11)"

silly question, but when was the final release of the iphone 2.0 software finalized? Cuz I'm thinking it must have been after Apple started shipping the new phones out.

This would mean that the software release would have to be pretty darn soon after the phones went on sale, so that people aren't buying new hardware with old software.

Maybe I'm totally wrong....

Looks like we might all have to wait until tomorrow.....
Found this on http://www.apple.com/mobileme/setup/

I still haven't received the software update to upgrade .mac to mobileme?! Anyone know how to fix this?

Its been 4 HOURS since MMe was supposed to launch and I guess this will be the WORST product launch in Apple's history, and hopefully in the future as well!

Anyone know why I'm not getting the MobileMe Updater via Software Update? I went into System Preferences > .Mac > Account, and then to Software Update, and nothing. Think Apple has taken the Updater down while they work out some MobileMe or Me.com issues?

It seemed to appear when people got through to actually sign in on Me.com

So if you can't sign in to Me.com, you wont get it.

The available July 11th thing refers to the software update for the iPhone, not MobileMe itself, notice how it doesn't say that under the computer setups without the iPhone.

Sebastian

notice how I was replying to the post about the iPhone 2.0 software, not MobileMe

something ive noticed… is the Login button style shown in the picture above going to be the new OK, Cancel etc. buttons that we will see in Snow Leopard? maybe that is the graphite colour-way and there will be a blue colour-way too?

we have already seen evidence of metal buttons in a screen shot of Snow Leopard's Activity Monitor and Apple are notorious for trying out UI ideas in some of their apps e.g. iTunes, iLife etc.

mac.com is down and me.com is still not up for me, but I am still sending and receiving email on .mac. But I can't sync, can't login, can't do much of anything else. Of course by now I am used to frequent disruptions of .mac and don't have any high hopes for .me either. At least we can hope that it can't get much worse than .mac has been for the last year.

Yes, its the official. They're prepping it on the servers.
He posted the iPhone 2.0 one that people have gotten to work with the app store.

I want it as bad as the next guy, my iphone feels so lonely without its 2.0, but I'm still going to hold off until it comes through apple.

In the few minutes I did get to play with it. I noticed that you can not subscribe to other calendars. For example, in iCal I subscribe to a Google Calendar from work.

In theory my iCal at home can still subsribe and then "push" it to my mobileme cal...but I was hoping that a change in google cal would immediately push to my mobileme cal and then to my iphone. I hope I'm wrong.
