WOW HOW DO THEY MAKE IT RUN SO FAST!

but never mind ferrari's, after waiting all morning to check for relatively important messages i still can't see any of them! this looks like it is much better than .mac...

WOW why does going to me.com forward me to the information page on apple.com again?!!!???

http://www.akamai.com/

With Apple getting it's own servers, it can pretty much sort out the customer experience on that front.

Will settle in a few hours i'd imagine.

Not only have the pulled the service off the web, if I go into my MobileMe Account Preferences I get this:

"An error was returned from the server. Please try again later."

Serious server down!

Am I the only one that does not even see a download link. Its time for work, will play with this when I get back home.

so I haven't gone to bed yet. its like 6:30 here. This stuff is just too exciting!!!!!!!

Now say Apple, how about giving us 2.0 Firmware when it becomes July 11 in NewZealand??!?!?!?! PLEASSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEE STEEEEVVVVVEEE!

Yep. Great start. Almost as good as the O2 iPhone website earlier this week. Looks like the whole thing crashed so it's returned to the mobileme page.

Well considering how slow it was going, they probably didn't have the full server setup running yet and the massive traffic that they just got crashed the system. Understandable. Either that or they took it down so they can re-launch with the entire server group at the same time.

Hey. Even .Mac's back up to its usual 'maintenance' rants.

BTW I'm crying out laughing here at Apple's foolishness and our comments!

Still a few kinks to work out ...

Logged on and experienced the same slowness others are seeing.. I also noticed the subscription renewal I made a few weeks before the MobileMe announcement seems to have disappeared, so the info on the Account page says my subscription expires in a few weeks instead of next year. I tried clicking on the link to queue up a Support question but it only displays a "page not found" error. Just went back to try again, but the only MobileMe page I can now get to is the "advertisement" page on the main Apple website (http://www.apple.com/mobileme/). I realize it's day one, but things are off to a rocky start.

Geeze, I guess those two Linux users are going to be pissed off.

At home i use the mac, no need for this service. at work however i need the webmail and contacts.. not being able to check my email at work is a downfall, considering you can use the same browser on pc/mac but you cant use it on Linux.

Guess i need to just figure out howto forge the browser string.

this is great. its like a virtual line for the mobileme launch.

screw iphone 3G... ;)

and i say that in the most joking manner.

Day one... try like hour 1

So, I ran the software update this morning and downloaded iTunes 7.7. While trying to setup MobileMe on the site the instructions say to click on the MobileMe icon in the System Preferences but it's not there. I've tried to re-download the software update but it says my system is up to date.

Any ideas?
