Am I safe to assume that even the 27 inch model still doesn't support target display mode? I read earlier that the 21.5 inch model doesn't but would just like to confirm.

The Air was groundbreaking for its time. Now it's nothing special, there are tons of comparable laptops on the market. Jobs would never ship a 16GB iPhone 6S. He wasn't known for cheap products, but he also wasn't known for shipping inferior products.
He shipped a computer with a 120GB 5400rpm hard disk just a few years ago. Not long ago, the default RAM amount on Macs was 2GB, same as the iPhone 6s. To me, Apple has always been a master of shipping miniscule amount of RAM and hard disk space, and asks for your kidneys if you want more storage.

The Ars Technica review mentions that Apple says a two-minute charge gives nine hours of use. So not a lot of downtime in that case. A full charge is two hours, which lasts a month.
I can’t find where that is actually quoted by Apple on their site, can you help with that point? Also nine hours of sitting there doing nothing is not nine hours of use. I’m asking myself if that is what is being spoken about.

Rechargeable AAs are still the better option. You can use them until they degrade and then replace them (versus the mouse itself). Also, because of where the connector is, you can't use the mouse while it's charging so if you're at an iMac, you'd better have a backup!

Yeah, that's freaking retarded. When the batteries in my mouse run out, I'll just switch the pair from the charger in, in under a minute. Wait two hours for the mouse to recharge, and you can't even use it in the meantime? Are they smoking the good stuff in Cupertino these days?

So is the only difference in the Magic Mouse the batteries?

They tend to hold a charge very well, as does the keyboard, so I don't know if I'll need to be upgrading the models anytime soon as my iMac keyboard and mouse still function quite well for me.

Please tell me what you are expecting? A new form factor will probably come next year.
Maybe some configurations that are a bit more exciting. I have to say I'm underwhelmed by the 21" iMac. I mean the display is great and reviews are coming in that its great especially with the expanded gamut but the hardware pushing that display seems like its a bit underwhelming.

Am I reading this properly? Not even the 4K iMac 21.5 comes with a dCPU standard??

This years 4K iMacs were just to get the screen resolution up without any real world performance boost. All the boost is just to barely keep up with the resolution upgrade

Wait a year or two
