I use OneDrive too - it's my primary cloud - specifically for selective sync.
I pay for 2 TB of iCloud storage for my family tho (my 136GB photo library + all of our data/backups). OneDrive rocks. Office 365 FTW.

Make sure you have the latest updates installed. It requires version 18362.145 or higher.

Yeah same issue here..I go to icloud.com on my PC and I add videos to my cloud account..takes days to finally show up on my icloud account on my iPad/Mac..do you think downloading this might fix the issue?
Ironic considering the Windows user may have money left over to buy a Mercedes, whereas the Mac user might have to settle on that Toyota
yes, may, or may not. eating at mcd's every day can also save you some money, but is it worth it?
Pretty sure one cannot signup for a subscription through here, so there would be no fees to give Microsoft. Exactly the same it works on iOS.

Fitting analogy. Like Apple products, Mercedes are overpriced, put style over substance, are expensive to repair, and try to have as few user serviceable parts as possible, where as Toyota, like a PC, is affordable, reliable, easy to repair, and if you take good care of it it will still be working long enough for you to pass down to your kids.
I tried to download it on my gaming PC but it said I "don't have any applicable devices" to download it on.

Version 18362 is the May update. It's not yet getting offered to everyone through Windows Update.
No, Windows Insider is not required. Looks like you are running Windows 10 V1809 by your product version. You will need to update to V1903

I have had this on my PC for some time but it never managed to sync. It would always say the password was wrong. Once I logged out, it would nag every hour or so about logging in. Microsoft's OneDrive doesn't nag; not as often anway.
Hope this has changed but I'm not holding my breath.

Apple today introduced a new iCloud for Windows app designed for PCs, according to a blog post shared by Microsoft. The new app is designed to allow Apple users to access their iCloud content on their Windows 10 PCs.
The iCloud app for Windows includes iCloud Drive, iCloud Photos, Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Safari Bookmarks, and more.
According to Microsoft, the iCloud Drive feature on Windows is powered by the same Windows technology behind the OneDrive Files On-Demand Feature, which lets users be more productive offline on mobile devices and quickly share files on iOS.
Apple has a support document for getting started with iCloud for Windows, which basically requires having an existing iCloud setup on an Apple device.
Windows users can download iCloud for Windows from the Microsoft Store starting today.

I wish apple would add a basic version of iMessage to the iCloud portal. It would be so nice to have iMessage when working on a windows machine or even just a shared computer that isn’t signed in to iCloud.
The iCloud app in the Windows store shows a release date of 2/1/2019. Am I looking at the right thing?
