I mean this is something meaningful. Apple didn't have to do this, and it will help.
But I don't want to pat Apple too hard on the back, I guess it is easier/cheaper to do this, then to reshore jobs, stop using slave and/or poverty wage labour abroad, and reversing complicated tax structures that funnels money offshore and instead contribute taxes at home that could also go to programs (better public education and universal health care) that could also address poverty and racism. Of course most companies are like this, not exclusively Apple, and it would be nice if Apple took the lead to fix that problem.
