iTunes 10.5 Beta

Quick question does lion work good iTunes 10.5 Beta? I'm running that for my iPhone iOS 5 Beta?

Sorry if this was asked and already answered ... So since I have three Macs is that 29.99 each? With a disc you used to be able to load it on your own 2 or 3 macs.

It's a one time fee. If you upgrade through mac app store on the other macs then you will have to download it again (free). The easier option is to make a backup disc and install to the other macs.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_4 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8K2 Safari/6533.18.5)

Envy u guys who can download it early in the morning.
Anybody took one day off to grab a freshly baked Lion? Lol

Updates will come thru Software Update

Here's my logic. Apple encourages only one download and then burn copy or simply send installation file over your network to other computers.

I have installed the GM on 4 computers, 3 iMacs and 1 MB. Purchased Lion this morning thru the App Store on the MB. Downloaded it, but didn't install it. In the App Store it says "Installed". I assume if I were to send this installer folder from the MB over to one of my iMacs, the App Store on it wouldn't know that it was installed as it has no record of a purchase.

Leads me to believe updates will come thru the software update function.

Planning to keep operating the GM version on all my machines.

I'm about a third of the way through and my download speed is spiking and falling so much, but it's coming slowly but surely.

If I started the download before I left for work will it have already installed it or did you guys get hung on a prompt to reboot your computer before entering into the installer?

I did know that I had to make a disk copy before installing since it deletes the install files upon completion.

My first "oh no" moment in Lion. Installed on my Air (and iMac) this morning.

Up and running. Question: I used to be able to swipe to the left on the trackpad to go back a web page. This no longer works in Lion for me.

Please tell me I don't have to navigate the cursor to the back arrow in the top left corner of Safari to go back a page.....

Can anyone help?

swipe with 1 finger on magic mouse or 2 fingers on trackpad

My App Store GM purchase changed names to OS X Lion.

ahhhh, I'm sure this has been discussed over and over and I apologize. I'm new to Mac. To do that would I just burn the download file to a disk after it has downloaded and before I click to install it?

ooops. I just found the instructions. Thanks.

Hello.
Tried searching but can't find answer. I plan on buying the new MBA. Am I licensed to download upgrade on my older machines for free? Thanks.

If you buy a new mac, you've technically bought a license for the operating system too. Simply call Apple and they'll likely allow you to download Lion to all your macs under ONE iTunes App Store ID.

It won't auto-install. You have to select the disc to install it to.

I forgot to start my DL before I left for work...doh but luckily I left my mbp on so I just started the dl via Logmein:D It "should" be ready once I get home from work.

Weird.....

So I went to the App Store and downloaded Lion, went through the Install process, then my MBP restarted.

Once it restarted, everything looked the same before I did everything. Could it be because I already had the GM?

Sorry for reposting this but, did anyody else experience this?^^^^^

Just wondering if I'll be charged the $30. I certainly don't mind, just a FYI type thing.

OS X Lion is not listed as free in App Store for me.

Bought iMac in India on 11 June 2011.

The form to qualify my system has the State field which is mandatory. Since it does not apply for me (non US), am unable to get my system qualified. I tried entering the two letter Indian state (KA) and it didn't work.

Does anyone know a solution to this? I will call Apple and talk with them about this tomorrow morning since the office hours are finished for the day here.

Yes. If by "likely" you mean "never".

I keep getting this error while trying to uptodate my imac I just bought on the 15th. I called apple and they said try later on too many people are doing this and boggin down the servers. I took out my serial number for this post.

...Just out of interest, what kind of wait times are people experiencing? I've still got 1.3GB to go with an estimated 80 minutes wait time.

Finished downloading a few minutes ago. It took just under 30 minutes total. Am burning install disc now.
Gonna burn 2 - you never know...

depending what beta version you have, I had the latest itunes beta (10.5b48) and I had to re-install from either the dmg if you saved it or from the dev site. Works great in 64bit

I just talked to Apple and they said the free download applies to ONE machine. We have to purchase ONE additional license for our other machines.

The purchase is linked to your itunes account so log in with that and download to other macs.
