Ok, Finder still didn't get improved and still lacks basic features. Seems to be an update for the iOS user-type but again not for pro users. Apple where are you going?

My first "oh no" moment in Lion. Installed on my Air (and iMac) this morning.

Up and running. Question: I used to be able to swipe to the left on the trackpad to go back a web page. This no longer works in Lion for me.

Please tell me I don't have to navigate the cursor to the back arrow in the top left corner of Safari to go back a page.....

Can anyone help?

Try swiping to the right.

Not saying that, But i have now been charge £100 + and cannot download it. When you had over money for a DVD you get it. Every time i try to download it the app store tries to charge me again.

The wise thing to do here would be to quit paying more than once and contact Apple. But if paying multiple times and whining on a message board is your thing...

I always use firefox, and one of the things I liked of the old gestures was that 3-finger swiped up or down quickly took me to either end of the page, but now that isnt the case. Anyone know how to make that possible again?

Just downloaded it. Burning the .dmg to a DVD now. Will do the normal upgrade when that's done. If i like it - i'll use the DVD to do a clean installation.

It installs a lot faster if you restore it to an 8GB flash drive or a partition on an external HD.

Restart in Safari...

Installation went smoothly... trying out some of the new features. VERY impressed so far. Safari whips compared to chrome now, WOW!

What about "restart to safari?" Any idea how to set this up? I would love to give other people only internet access when visiting.

Thanks!

When it is upgrading does it give you any indication which older software will lose functionality? And does it put that software somewhere or does it just become non-functional?

Feel sorry for those upgrading to Lion Server also. The app store is making you buy Lion twice. Once when you upgrade to Lion Server, and again when you try to upgrade your regular non-server macs. Don't make sense.

It tells you which software is not compatible with Lion, and then moves it to a folder on your startup disk titled "Incompatible Software."

Hope this helps.

I haven't done this yet (I didn't bring my server on vacation with me :)), but can't you pay for Lion once (on as many computers as needed) and install Server on top (again paying once)? The description says Server needs Lion--it's an add-on, not a full OS.

I'm confused why you'd be paying twice. It looks like it won't even let you install Server without Lion first.

Uh what the heck?????!!!!!! :confused::confused::confused::eek::eek:

I want to buy Lion on the App store and it says INSTALLED and it's grayed out...

Trust me folks... IT IS NOT installed on my MacBook Pro. o_O

What's going on???

Anyone with issues on the download

Guys mine will nto even start to down load purcahsed 2 mins after it came out and tried like 100 time just gives me an error after saying waiting for 10 mins, getting really frustrated.
