Thanks for the suggestions on the Safari extension and yes, I already tried it. I get the "beach ball" when trying to install. Any other thoughts?

Also strange is 1Password asks for Master Password visiting a website (top bar) even though it is already open. I am thinking a disconnect.

Yeah, 1Password does behave strangely for me as well. I hope they´ll update it.

Ground to a halt in France

I have downloaded 2.98 GB over about 4 hours in France (2Mb/s connection), according to the purchased tab in App Store but everything seems to have ground to a halt now. My input/output meter on the top status bar is only showing the odd flicker against a pretty steady 275KB/s it was at the beginning. Assume that the servers must have overheated. PPPPPP obviously does not apply. Perfect Preparation Prevents P*** Poor Performance.

Took about 30 minutes to dl, auto installed in about 15/20. (I walked away and came back). Runs great on a 2010 i7 17" MBP. Good stuff. I like it.

HELP!!!

I have entered full-screen (Chrome) and i can't exit. There's no exit button!

Guys, how does Resume work? It doesnt seem to work in Pages for example. Still asks me if i want to save the document. And yes, I did install the update from Apple.

That was it

this is gonna be a tough transition. 35+ years of pounding on keyboards and mice doesn't lend itself to taps :D

Ditto. Don't see the need for many of the changes. Does it make it different. Sure. Better? Hmmm.

Just like the new scrolling. It's not "natural". If it was people would have been clamoring for i for years. Just silly IMHO.

I think that Lion is really really really awesome. I like it a lot. Everything is exactly as it was. All the settings and spaces were seamlessly transferred. This is really great. So far only one app was reported as incompatible. I don't use that app at all. COmpletely forgot about it. Everything else from first impressions seems great. 1password has some glitches, but there seems to be a fix on their website. All the apps settings were retained and I think it works better. Some issues I had with dashboard and disk utility are gone completely it seems. Install took 12 minutes. It's really snappy. Everything is instant. No TRIM. Disk utility incorrect space show issue is gone. Less permission errors. System log looks okay. At least previous causes for concern seem to have gone. Swipes and scrolls are fine. It's cool with me. One thing is, this screen switching is making me dizzy. It's a tad bit choppy too on my MBP 2009 with 8GB of RAM and an SSD. Love the spelling correction is 3 finger double tap new dictionary. Will be using that feature a lot. Thank you for this new experience, Apple...

Haha, I managed to mess up my spaces somehow while typing this, already... It was perfect as before after the install, ironically.

yeah my battery life appears to have increased as well, at least according to the monitor.

downloaded in about 2 hours on a dsl line. install took about 30 min. Upgraded from snow leopard, all my settings remained the same, printers still work fine, mail upgraded with no issues. ical is listing everything twice from my google calendar, but i will figure that out.

Same here - "Natural" scrolling was the first thing i disabled after installed Lion

I installed OS X DP4 (11A494a) over Snow Leopard, and now I want to install the App Store's OS X 10.7 Lion over Mac OS X Lion 10.7 (11A494a). However, the App store tells me this: http://d.pr/UsZx

How do I install the app store release of 10.7 if my current OS is 10.7 DP4 (11A494a)?

I can't seem to reinstall Snow Leopard either.. So, basically, I'm stuck in the middle.

Any suggestions? Now the App Store just says "Installed" when I haven't even purchased it yet...

What a nightmare.

Lion Priced Exactly What It's Worth, 29.99.

If you're like me and was hoping the Apple would fix the unforgivably horrible Mac font support, you'll be disappointed today.

A $3000 MacBook Pro is all but useless if you need to do anything that involves working with text: coding, text processing, databases, spreadsheet, etc.

Very simply, if you work with text, you need large non-aliased type that works across a bunch of different application, and while a Google search will yield a few half solutions, the problem is real, significant, and NOT resolved with the release of Lion.

HELP!!!

Just move the mouse up to the top of the screen and all the menus are there.

The shortcut for exiting is shift-cmd-f

It would be very nice if Safari oriented itself so that web page content remains center, even when expanding or contracting the size via the track pad.

Having to manually orient content in Safari so that it's centered is an inconvenience.

Shortcut for enter/exit Chrome fullscreen works fine. But I do notice same issue here - no visible exit button like in other apps!

Correct. Only View-exit fullscreen or the shortcut. Will probably get fixed once chrome implements native lion fullscreen.
