I am in love with Full Screen apps, just the way the whole thing is implemented and so easy to switch between them <3

Problems??

My place of work has just blocked the AppStore.

They are saying Lion (not the downloads, but Lion) is causing severe problems with the network infrastructure. They are asking anyone who has installed Lion to turn off their computer and contact IT.

PCs outnumber Macs here by about 10 to 1. The problems must be from just a small number of Macs.

No details on the problem from our IT department yet.

Anyone having crashes?

I had 4 yesterday and already had 2 this morning--during 4 of them I was downloading an iTunes purchase or an app store update.

I love that people are complaining about "spaces being gone." They obviously haven't even tried to use Lion, because spaces is STILL THERE!

I love the fullscreen apps, and love the tweak chpwn made to run everything in fullscreen, even if their developers haven't officially updated to support it. It's awesome!

My only issue was when I booted up this morning it took a long time, and then said I had no wireless card hardware installed. After a restart, it was just fine and haven't had any issues.

Any more info on that comment?
Mission control seems to work smooth. It does most of what Spaces did and some more, but I can imagine a few situations where Spaces could come in handy. Do you say that Spaces can be enabled in lion?

....still waiting on redeem code from apple...

...starting to get really upset, any one else still waiting????

... i almost want to buy it, then give them hell on the phone until they refund it!

Well, I didn't complain that it was gone, I just mentioned two ways in which I think its implementation in Lion isn't quite as good.

1. You can no longer move windows between any two visible spaces - you can only move windows from the current main space in MC to the others above it.

2. Because the way all the Spaces are now limited to a single row at the top of MC, rather than taking up the whole screen, its less clear to see which windows are currently in any given Space.

Although, having said that - the speed and ease in which you can swipe through the Spaces in the main part of MC goes a long way to countering that.

I'm sure before long, I'll be used to it, and actually find it preferable to have Spaces and Expose combined like this.

Started downloading a little after 8am (Central). About half way done. Doing the standard upgrade route. Love new OSX day!!!! Sure has come along way from the free beta of OSX so many years ago. Think I still have that stashed away somewhere.:apple:
Well to update things. The download went fairly quickly, installed no problems, and no other issues the rest of the day using Lion. I should probably upgrade my iMac's RAM though at some point. Well done Apple!

Does the upgrade wipe the drive, do I need to reinstall everything after I upgrade?

I like it.

One small niggle is that when I put my MBP to sleep, upon waking it up again, I have to close the wireless and start it again for it to work.

this behaviour happens in my iMac as well, but it is wake and screen brightness off

once i increase the brightness i can see the screen

not sure whether both are same or different

Does your company do time machine backups? Time machine will do a full backup after the Lion install , if you had several of them at once it could generate a significant load.

i've been using it for a day now. Still getting used to the scrolling. I do see some bugs when i open iTunes it always launches in full screen.

Huh, interesting... I installed Lion on an external fw HDD & I just noticed there is no option in Sys Pref to change primary mouse buttons to left handed. That's gonna be inconvenient.

At least my version of Lion does have that option under mouse settings.
