While I'm waiting for ML purchase to start working I'm updating iPhoto which popped up as a 1.02 GB update in the Mac App store. Happy days

Those who bought Lion in the Mac app store who now buy ML, Lion will disappear from the app store and you will no longer be able to download it once you buy ML.

Make sure you DL Lion before you make your ML purchase.

How did you get the redeem code? When I follow apples online links, i only get a page that works if I'm a reseller. I'm not, having recently purchased the Retina MBP. Image attached of what I'm getting.

It may look a bit weird, but you just have to fill in the right information. Remember, you can only use the up-to-date program if you bought a mac after 11. of June. Send me a PM if you have further questions, and I might answer them the best I can.

I've just spoken to Applecare on the phone, in the UK, about the "used code" problem

They say that they are aware of the problem and are working to fix it. You will not need a new code, and it should start working on its own "in a couple of hours".

They said that if it isn't working by the end of the day, to call back.

I got that same error message. However, when I went into my purchases, I saw that Mountain Lion was already listed there and available for download.

It's downloading now. Thanks Parallels Mobile! (Of course, I'll lose my connection when it reboots, but it saves me 30 minutes when I get home tonight).

Just let it work. This is normal. Mine got all the way to -1hr 15 minutes then went back to about 15 minutes remaining then finished.

Dictation silences the fans

Hi all!

On my 11-inch, Mid 2011 MacBook Air, when I start dictation, the fans stop! (or just get very silent)

It's kindof scary
