Hooray! Notes now has folders that sync! I can throw out Evernote!!!

Happy bunny !!! :) :) :)

EDIT: except ... I guess I have to wait for iOS 6 before images becomes actual images instead of little attachment icons on the iPhone ....

Re:

Downloading it now from the app store
The download has been running for an hour but the little bar hasn't even moved
Anyway to see the percentage of the download?

Just head on over to the Mac App Store and click on the Purchases tab - it should let you know how much of Mountain Lion has downloaded and how much remains.

Mountain Lion is noticeably better

Upgraded my 2008 MBP, have been using 10.8 for a few hours now and I have noticed quite a difference in performance and smoothness, so far it feels really good and refined and I am glad I upgraded.

To get this on my 09 MBP running 10.5.8, I need SL.
My buddy has SL but it is a pirated copy of some torrent he d/led.
He's let other friends of his use it and to my knowledge, they all claim it works with no problems.

Should I just ask for a copy and install on my MBP and then upgrade to ML?

I finally started the download this morning before going to sleep (I'm a night shift worker). It ranged from 6 hours to 12 hours to complete. So I went to sleep. Woke up 6 hours later to see a download error (of course, just my luck), only getting to 3.43GB before cutting out. Restarted the download, thank god it picked up right where it left off. Hopefully there are no problems with the package itself.

It finally finished, but I'm stuck at work. I'll let the load of other app updates to download and finish and I'll try installing ML in the morning.

Happy with Mountain Lion so far

After using mountain lion for most of the evening now I have noticed a considerable increase in speed and responsiveness, I did not have much luck with Lion it always seemed buggy and slow I wonder why Apple even released Lion, Quicktime is still flawed in many ways but overall the new OS is refreshing and made my MBP feel like a new computer something Lion never did

I saw someone saying something about backing up information, this isnt going to erase all the programs i already have installed is it? should just install over the other OS. Never install and osx so i have no idea what to expect.

I know this has probably been asked before and I'm sorry but where are my RSS feeds? I know they were removed from mail but did I lose them all totally?

Here's how my upgrade went: I started it on 5:40 p.m. US Pacific Time. The download lasted 1 hour 44 minutes over a WiFi connection. Installation lasted 1 hour 2 minutes. The installation was successful. Everything looks good so far.

Took about 2 hours to DL. 40 minutes to install, went through a lap or two and smooth as silk. I like the notifications and dictation may be useful from time to time.

So far so good and safari feels..... I wont do it. ;)

I am soooo annoyed!!

I left it to download over night as i need to be up early this morning. I awoke to find the download had stopped and it just said 'Calculating' with about 1GB to go. Tried to restart it and it started from the beginning again!! WTF!!

in Mac App store it showed me that size is 4.05 GB and when i actually started downloading its showing 4.34 GB.

now strangely its stuck at 4.18 GB since hours.... :( showing "Calculating" in time left area

is anyone else facing similar problem?

Downloaded in rural britian on an unreliable 1.5mbps connection.

Took 6 hours to download, 30 mins to install and I haven't had a time to play as I'm now back at work!

App Code to d/l ML for free - how long?

Hi,

I didn't go through the 15 pages so apologies if this has been answered.

I bought a new MBA end of June so went to this page http://www.apple.com/osx/uptodate/ to get my free upgrade to ML. At the end of the process I got the following message:

Thank you for submitting your claim.

We will send your App Code by email once your claim has been validated.

Please keep the claim reference number for your records.
Claim reference number: XYZ...

This was last night and today I haven't received any App Code.

How long did it take you to get the App Code?

How do I go about contacting Apple to verify if anything unusual is going on?

thanks

You're not the only one. Apple said that they have some issues with the system and it may take up to 72 hours to send out all codes (instead of at least 24 hours stated on the Up-To-Date site). I'm waiting since yesterday noon, too.

15 minutes?!?! For me it shows between one and two days and I have cable as internet so not the slowest one... C'mon Apple a bit more bandwidth maybe? Spend one of those billions.

Nowt to do with Apple since ML must have cached to all of the Akamai servers by now. It is down to the particular Akamai server you are accessing.
