I got it... but now the updates to the apps have infinite hangs.

I don't want to sound bad but.. there are only a handful of "features" that Mountain Lion brings.

I've been exploring the OS for the last hour and it is definitely very marginal for a 10.x release.

Favourite features are Dictation and Notification center.

I'm more concerned about performance. How is that compared to Lion?

Much better than Lion, i can feel the snappiness right after Spotlight finished indexing.

I guess you get what you pay for, and $20 is nothing for an OS update.

iMessage Bug? After installing Mountain Lion.

I was using iMessage to talk to someone and they haven't installed Mountain Lion yet, but they claim that I was going Offline/Online a lot.. could it be a bug? Wouldn't surprise me.

Awesome thanks for the update. 6 more hours to go for me.

Hopefully the Up to Date debacle will served as a lesson learned for everyone involved, Apple and the consumer alike, when it comes time for OSX 10.9 HouseCat or whatever its called.

I can sit and SAY that I wont get up early next year and try to download the new OS, and I can say that I will wait until the servers cool down, but I know in reality, myself and everyone in hear complaining about not receiving the code yet will be right back in the same boat next year

But Im fine with that :) see you tomorrow ML

Might have already been asked but is there a trackpad gesture to Show All Tabs in Safari rather than using the keyboard shortcut?

Not my point. As a frustrated teacher at heart I like to point out when people are unreasonable and don't think.

Complaining about an avalanche of requests which in this case needs to be verified is unreasonable in my book.

OMG , having to wait 72 hours for a code for something they lived their entire life without.................

The world is coming to an end, screw what is going on in Syria and other parts of the world, I need ML now!!!!!!

(don't get me started again:)

Many of us on here aren't here crying but just looking for information. This forum is a good place for that. Again, if you can't distinguish the difference and it bothers you, then why are you here?

Those who bought Lion in the Mac app store who now buy ML, Lion will disappear from the app store and you will no longer be able to download it once you buy ML.

Make sure you DL Lion before you make your ML purchase.

Dunno. Downloading and Lion is still available for redownloading for me. Not sure why it wouldn't be - I paid for it. People may have a reason for mixing Lion and ML on their Macs (e.g. developers) so it does not make sense that Apple would remove Lion from its servers completely even when it no longer remains available for purchase.

On the Newegg site now. The lowest price for the 256GB Crucial SSD is $214.99

Yeah, I noticed that-- the search results page showed $184.99, and then when you go to product details or click add to cart, it shows up as $214. But now it shows up at $214 in the search results.

Newegg has been doing that a lot lately - price inconsistencies. Argh.

Downloading it now from the app store
The download has been running for an hour but the little bar hasn't even moved
Anyway to see the percentage of the download?

Maybe we are not reading the same posts?

I think I can distinguish the difference between asking for info (Yes, the forum is a good place for that) and complaining that it takes too long to dl and acting as if their lives depend on it.
Complaining that Apple sucks because the servers are overloaded. People wanting their money back. The codes aren't coming fast enough. God forbid it takes 72 hours wow what a life span wasted.

Just thoughtless complaining, wasting posts that their personal issue hasn't been addressed in seconds.

The essence of all of that is in the MR post that Apple currently has problems with it should be enough info to stop complaining.

But, anybody with even just half a brain can figure out that they don't do that on purpose (although some conspiracy theory fans do) and that they are working on it.

Humans make mistakes and Apple employs humans, hence...................
