What does it really matter? The iPhone Six is blazing fast with the RAM it has. Its not that big a deal. They optimize it with software. Chill out. As for the guy wanted the black face with the gold, that'd look ugly... Get over it. Go get a job at Apple, then start complaining.

Yeah he should just shut up and take what's he's given by the Apple gods.

It's not about the speed. It's about convenience. Switching lots of apps and them not reloading = bliss!

it's confirmed by anandtech; 1GB RAM! pathetic!

I can't find any such report on anandtech.com...

This looks like a good S level upgrade to me. I think that people are expecting too much from "off year" upgrades these days, especially when I think of past updates.

Tim Cook's use of "Magical" and "Feelings" is a bit too much. He tries too hard to be like Steve Jobs. These conferences need someone like Steve Ballmer as the MC. At least his voice will get you pumped up!

It's as good as you can get in a yearly upgrade really. I think it's a good upgrade but given how good the 6 was its hard to improve loads

I think it's actually a massive upgrade.

Force-touch! Better cameras! Better photography! Blazing fast processor!

These are not minor improvements. It's a testament to the expectations we have, and the accuracy of this site in predicting things, that these are considered small. It's a phone, not a magical object.

Hopefully you can grip the iPhone 7 without a case...

They don't actually improve the user's experience substantially. Yeah they're improvements and additional features, but they don't make that much difference at the end of the day.

Some people will buy into the hype, most won't.

I think 3D touch certainly is

That's a feature I think will be great to use on a daily basics

How is it better than a long press? It's actually more clumsy. Try it on a MacBook before you buy.
I've got it on my Macbook pro and it's useful. Will be even better on the phone

It's more than a long press when it saves you time instead of going back and forth all the time.

With this 3D touch I wouldn't be surprised that the iPhone 7 might do away with the home button as long as they can find a way to integrate Touch ID into the main display.

The camera looks like a nice upgrade, those where som challenging conditions they managed to capture nicely.

Now if they could just make it in a pocketable size and the back flat again, I would be all over it :)

I have to agree. I'm surprised at the camera improvements. Looks to me like they actually are onto something. The images with both indoor and outdoor lighting seem to be handled very well by the algorithms. :apple:

Interesting comments.... I think there was tons of cool things introduced with the new iPhone. The camera improvements looked really nice. The faster processor is always a plus, and 3D touch looks very promising.

I don't know what people expect anymore from a smart phone? Obviously, we seem to have hit a plateau in major innovations, but I think 3D touch will be very interesting in the long run and very useful.

Also, I thought the Apple iPhone a year program looked very nice if you like to keep up with the latest models and the cost seemed pretty much in line with what you pay with the carriers. All good in my book.

A lot of the 3D touch actions you can mimic with just timed presses\holds. Slower of course but still....

That is a question I had: does anyone know if we will be able to get similar functionality using pre-6S iPhones? Obviously the 'Taptic' hardware won't be present in earlier models, but can iOS 9 simulate the same behavior by registering a 'long press' as a '3D Touch'?

Thanks,
