Agreed, but it's going to come with a STEEP learning curve for the average iPhone user. Can't wait for the "What's wrong with my 3D Touch Screen" threads. :apple:
What are you basing this on? All the initial hands-on reviews that I've seen don't suggest this at all. Why don't we wait for some actual reviews...

If Apple sells the "Unlock" version on the 12th I will buy the 6S!

I doubt Apple will release that model however. But you never know! Else, I can take my time and buy it after the holidays like last year, where nobody is in the Apple Store in mid February and I can be like a private shopper with 3 or 4 Apple sales personnel at my call! Much better conditions to buy a phone! Everything is in stock times 4!

Did they really need 90% faster graphics? Probably for the Plus versions. The CPU being 70% faster is also a big jump. I was not expecting that kind of jump this year.
Graphics is more important since everything is now video; not computing stuff like spreadsheets, etc... It about gaming, watching videos, etc.... which involves the graphics not the CPU!

I didn't see the keynote yet. Could you use the iPad Pro Pencil on the new iPhones? Thanks.

You always paid for your phone over your 2 year contract. :apple:

Doesn't matter. My bill will still be the same price either way because I can't change it without losing unlimited data. I'm not alone either. I can't fathom spending more than $400 for a phone ever again, which makes the 5S price even more insulting.

The troubling thing is the upgrades are getting more and more minor each year.

I disagree. The A9 in itself is massive. This is one amazing exercise in design by Apple's Team in Orlando. Going from the A7 to the A8 pales in comparison to this energy sipping thoroughbred. Plus the new LTE Chip, a very nice 12mp camera IMO, and a total redesign of the chassis. Hardly minor. :apple:

I was really hoping they will bring back the complete black version, like they had at the time of the original iPhone 5.

Of course after resolving the issues with the black paint being too easy to damage. The fully black version had a unique menacing look.

The iPhone 6 (which is the one I'd want since the 6+ is too big with all the bezels) is still only 750p, still doesn't have OIS and still is only f/2.2 with no mention of ram, if it's a tri core or battery size...

It's so disappointing, all they've done that is new is the pressure touch, which tbh I don't care about since most of those gestures they showed have been done without it on other platforms.

Not impressed and I still don't get why they insist on making it so thin that a 1/3 sensor needs a camera bump :\ Bit pathetic.

I'm going to save my money, if Windows Phone offers nothing compelling this year, I'll just get an LG G4 or something, it'll probably be £280 by November any ways, much cheaper than the £620 a 64GB iPhone 6 would cost.

LG 4 is 5.5 inches (~72.5% screen-to-body ratio)
148.9 x 76.1 x 6.3 - 9.8 mm

Yeah he should just shut up and take what's he's given by the Apple gods.

As a friend told me earlier today when I expressed some dismay over the offerings.... I'm just no longer the target market anymore. :( (i.e.: it's designed for people who spend many hours per day on their phone and use it as their primary computing device... while I'd rather have a smart-PHONE to accompany my tablet/laptop, etc.)

The A9 is an amazing energy sipping thoroughbred. Integrating the M9 onto the chip is responsible for the graphics performance mostly. Apple's Chip Design Team in Orlando are among the best in the industry, IMO. :apple:

That's just Verizon's indirect way of charging you $25 extra for unlimited data.

Think about it: Say your bill has always been $75 when you got iPhone with contract. Technically you are paying $50 for service, $25 for subsidy. Now two years later, you paid off your phone and you are eligible for an upgrade. By not upgrading to a new subsidized phone, you are effectively leaving $25 extra money on the table. In other words, Verizon is charging you $25 extra to keep your unlimited data.

I'm rather lucky: it's an easier decision for someone like me, who has an iPhone 5 - the changes are substantial enough certainly that it'll be a substantially different experience. The only thing I'm working on is determining what the best way to pay for it/subscription with my particular carrier (monthly? straight out? buy it from Apple directly?). And how and where to sell my workhorse iPhone to subsidize the newer product.

If one owns the 6, I can appreciate that it could be a less exciting announcement.

6s Plus, lol blimey what a tongue twister, stupid .upgrades with exclusive software features to force you to upgrade, I wonder how much of it they will enable to run on a 6 plus from 12 months ago, Apple sure know how to alienate people..what happened to them, where just being milked for every penny now.

16 gb is great.... If you don't plan to take photos, shoot video, or download more than a few apps.

Which is perfect for corporate purchasing and employee deployment. The 6 16gb in space grey is the only option given at our company. Well, unless you're an exec...
