Super fake. The video would show the actual release date, which should be Sept 21, following the same pattern for the past many, many years of releasing on the second Friday after the keynote (with the first Friday being pre-order day).

I’m No longer under the influence or inclination that these photo’s were ‘accidentally’ leaked, I believe Apple wants to tease their new products with these photos. I think this is a way to gain traction and build hype for the keynote coming up, and what not a better way to advocate what they have in store for the iPhone and Apple Watch. If they were intentionally leaked, you can best believe Apple will find out how they were leaked and _who_ is responsible, and the individual(s) responsible Will be held accountable.

Pretty bored of these incremental updates to the look. iMac, MacBook Pros, iPhones, iPads, and especially Apple Watch have remained largely unchanged for years. With the exception of the new screen on the iPhone X, nothing about the devices makes me have that old "gotta have the new one" feeling any more.

How different was the 3G to the 3GS? Or the 4 to the 4S? There’s only so many ways a rounded red can look. I suppose Apple could curve the sides of the screen like Samsung just so someone would think it looks different. Apple tried something different with the iPhone 5C and it was roundly mocked. I wouldn’t mind seeing Apple introduce more colors but as far as the basic shape for iPhone, iPad and Macs I think those are largely solved problems. Only thing that might change is smaller bezels on the Macs.

I guess the releases for the last five or so years have been boring, then, because for the last few years we've gone into the keynote pretty much knowing what to expect.

These are the 10S and 10S Plus. No Excess. OS X is OS 10 not OS ex. Everyone should know that. The A12 in these things should be a real beast. Unfortunately given the state of freemium mobile gaming, the improved GPU will mostly go to waste.

iPhone SE, iPhone, and iPhone Plus would simplify the naming scheme.

I think they're dropping the Plus moniker in favour of screen size - iPhone XS 5.8inch and iPhone XS 6.5inch. Just like the iPad Pro.

And then going back to numerals starting next year: iPhone 11 5.8inch/6.5inch, iPhone 11S 5.8inch/6.5inch, etc.

That leaves us with the low-cost 6.1-inch model to be forever known as "iPhone" simply. Again, just like the iPad line.

XS is an atrocious name imo, I thought the whole point of naming last years phone the X was to catch up on the numbering with the amount of years? Nobody outside of Apple is going to call it 10S, it will be known as excess which has a bad connotation.

I was hoping for a smaller "SE 2" with an edge-to-edge screen, like from the Olixar case rumor. I guess it's not going to happen this year.
