Spot on analysis.
Some people like dark screens because it lends an air of engaging in something creative/professional and simply looks cool, whether they realize that or not.
It's an aesthetic preference for some, but it's also much easier on the eyes to have less light to stare into, especially for longer work sessions.I don’t understand the allure of dark mode, but if it makes everyone else shut up about dark mode I’m all for it
As a digital artist dark themes or neutral grey are a must. Be great to see this across the entire UI finally.
Vega 64 beat GTX 1080, Nvidia is behind in eGPU and macOS.What would really make Monday a treat is native Nvidia driver support for EGPUs... and it would be even better if Apple released their own EGPU enclosure so we can have something that matches our MacBooks.
That... Kind of.. Looks horrible. And all of the colours end up inverted, obviously.. Which is nothing like having the OS actually look right when its in a darker mode.OK.....what am I missing here?

Howfunny Launchpad is still there ... does this anyone really use?
This better mean dark mode on iOS too. Dark mode on macOS = ehh.
It's not spot on at all. Many people I know, myself included find it easier to work in front of a darker screen all day vs a lighter one. You guys are seriously being silly in falsely assuming everyone wants a dark screen to look cool.
For once, I would like to see this dumpster diver's computer hacked with oddments leaked out on the internet, then we will see how he reacts. I really do not like it when people go to so much trouble as to peep into Apple's servers for a leak, just for a few likes. It is not going to get them paid in any way, just for some moments of glory, that satisfaction of the vain ego.
I can handle dark, but I really need my big fonts.Chiming in as an older guy, I love dark mode and small fonts... my desktop, shell windows, editors, browser themes, all dark. It's a rather jarring contrast when I use apps and sites like macrumors that have white background. How about a dark mode for macrumors?
I removed launchpad from the dock because it was easier/faster just launching via Spotlight/Alfred. I imagine people who use Launchpad probably want the MB to have a touchscreen.
Same. I think it's something that just became so overrated and it doesn't even look that great but rather dull and lifeless.
Cool, lets take away choice. What an absurd response.
I have not used xcode for past couple of years! But it's the worst IDE ever I have seen in my life! Even open source Eclipse blows it out of water. Sluggish product with very bad support for any other languages besides objective C or Swift! Why???

In a word, nope.
