Leather Cases - Patina Proud Photos

Saddle brown after a couple weeks of use. I lost track of the timeline on how long I’ve used this case since I’ve switched between the Torro sleeve, Apple saddle brown, Nomad rustic brown and Nomad black cases. I’ve also switched between my 12 and now the mini.

This looks better than mine did after a few weeks....
This is my Product Red case, used daily since November 16th, so more than 4 months now.
It's still almost as good as new, just some very light wear around the edges, especially on the bottom-right corner which is the point where it rubs the most when sliding the phone in and out of pockets.
I average about 4 hours of screen time a day, it's not like I don't use the phone, but it seems like there is no way for me to wear it just by normal use.
Damn, that looks like crap (for lack of a better word here). I'd be embarrassed to be seen with that case. Garbage.

My only regret is that I found this thread after I purchased my Saddle Brown case. Damn.

That turned into the nicest shade of colour. Perfect.
Looks like Horween Shell Cordovan Color No. 8, a men's accessory classic for leather shoes, belts, watchbands, etc. Thus the disappointment that iPhone 12 Product Red will always stay, well, red.
What makes you think it'll stay red? The way it ages may be different due to the squared off shape but I've seen photos of cases that have started to darken just like those of previous years because the owners exercised a little patience.
Patience? I want patina NOW. Where’s the belt sander and 50 grit sand paper? Don’t make me use the chainsaw. Well, crap. I’ve destroyed this case, but doesn’t it look fantastic?
I'm incredibly wealthy and I want what I want when I want it. The Product Red case looks like a toy and the Saddle Brown looks like dog diarrhea before the patina kicks in. I shouldn't have to suffer for months just to get a shade of burgundy and brown that pleases me.
Well, his signature even lists the prices of his devices!! Can’t get much richer than that!

Someone sell me an iPhone 12 Product Red and an iPhone 12 Saddle Brown with that six-months-in patina of the iPhone X cases. I'll pay $200. Each.

It’s been a little over a week since I gave up on my saddle brown 12 mini case and switched to a cheap Spigen case. The Spigen case is nice but it’s not leather nice. I miss the feel of leather. So I have spent the last day scouring the web researching every leather case I could find. There’s way more choices out there than I realized but a lot of them have no reviews and are probably junk. So in the end I went with Decoded. Had one of their cases on my XR and it was great. This time I went with the blue and I’m excited to get it. It’s gotta age better than Apples case right? I know there are a few Decoded users here but are any of you using the blue? How’s it aging for you?
