I like the idea of a product like this and it's obvious where they're going in terms of MagSafe and the charging port.

I'd be interested to try this for my phone as I've always had a generic two card pleather wallet case for my iPhone XS and 11 Pro. Now with my new iPhone 12 Pro, I wanted to try something different and this *may* be the answer for people when it inevitably comes to third party manufactures that'll make them hopefully cheaper and out of different materials.

I like the idea that a case could carry on to a future 2021 iPhone and not be conformed to one particular case size. That being said, if the jump between a Pro and regular future iPhone is the same as this year, I'll definitely be going with that mini.

Just picked up mine from the Apple store. Some thoughts:
- The Baltic blue matches perfectly with the pacific blue 12 Pro and plum silicone case
- The original card filler that Apple has inside the wallet was almost impossible to push out.
- Takes 3 cards max. You can try to squeeze a 4th one in but it won’t sit flush with the other cards
- Magnets are strong. I didn’t have any concerns about it falling off even when I shake it.
- No issues putting it in and taking it out of my pocket. I’m wearing board shorts today. Tried it on the work pants and no issues with the wallet detaching either. But those are not skinny jeans
- It seems to stay on better on the silicone case than the naked iPhone itself. Probably not due to the strength of the magnets but the actual friction between the leather and the silicone vs leather against the glass back.

Like all other leather cases for the phone, it’s obviously not for everyone. But if you want to carry a few cards with you and not take your wallet for some quick shopping or go for a walk, this is pretty good for it.

It obviously adds some bulk to the overall package of the iPhone 12 Pro and if you pair it with the 12 Pro Max the whole thing will be monstrously big, thick and heavy.

I concur with all of @Boardiesboi comments - just got mine and its really well attached to the back of the phone with no case, definitely feels like it wont come off easily at all. 3 cards feels about right. Going to go with this instead of a wallet for a bit - waiting on Apple leather case now, hopefully it attaches well to the back of that.

I'm sure I could watch a video and find an answer, but I'm lazy. How are cards removed from these wallets quickly? Looks to be in there pretty tight. I know it has that hole in the back to push the cards up but it sort of defeats the purpose of having to take it off your phone to remove cards right?

Based on the MKBHD review, this sounds like an awful product to me unless you don’t mind your wallet falling off your phone when putting into a pocket.

I’m guessing this is also cheap leather since the wallet only costs $60. I’d rather use my Hermès wallet instead of spending $60 on cheap leather and potentially losing my cards/ID.

Looking forward to additional reviews but doesn’t sound promising.
Hermès is tacky

Yes I just picked one of these up. It’s great- no issues going in and out of a regular sized pocket and also it feels very nice to use phone with the wallet attached. BUT, getting the cards out does require removing the wallet, as you suggest.

Could you fit 4 cards in, or is 3 the max?

Thanks. I just saw it come available on my local store

Superb
I love the feel of pushing out the card smoothly. I quite like the colour of California poppy too. But it looks so bold for a guy

There are a lot of concern on strength of magnet. I guess it is not the case for me. It is quite attached and hard to remove as observed today.

With or without a case? My 12 Pro can’t be placed on the fridge on is own but with the magsafe case it’s stuck in place. Makes me think that it would be the same with the wallet?

I guess so. The texture of either silicone or leather Apple case will give more friction rather than that of phone alone. I am not 100% certain to say whether it gives double magnet effect with MagSafe case on when attached to wallet tho.

Picked one up from the Apple store today.

Quick thoughts - Feels very good in the hands. Adds quite a bit of weight. Very difficult to take cards out while attached to the phone. I had to take the wallet off everytime I wanted to take a card out.

I still really like the idea of this... Just not sure how its going to work in practice and whether its going to be better or worse with an iPhone Mini as the wallet almost takes up the whole back of the phone 🤔

I’ve been thinking the exact same thing. I’m getting the mini and like the idea of having a really simple/slim wallet that magnetically attached to my phone. My biggest worry atm is that I think I need 4 cards on me (credit card, ID, access card to my office building, metro card), and I think this will only fit 3. And yes, very curious to see how this fits on a mini. I’m just going to buy it, and if it doesn’t work out I’ll return it. We’ll see...

Finally able to reserve one for pickup in Los Angeles area on Monday. I figure I’ll give it a shot and return it if it doesn’t work out. Going with blue on a blue case on a blue phone 😀

Mine is still showing as origin scan at UPS, scheduled delivery on Tuesday. I'm going to return it as it arrives and just have ordered another one for a pick up at my local apple store tomorrow.

I have some rather weird and possibly dumb questions, please bear with me.

1) The wallet is shielded, so contactless cards must be removed to be used? I can't just tap the wallet with a single card on a reader and expect it to work?
2) while the wallet is attached to the phone/case in your pocket, is it possible/easy to take out the wallet while leaving the phone/case in your pocket?
3) A few people already mentioned that even single cards fit tightly in the wallet, I guess this means trying to take out that single card from the wallet while its attached to the phone/case, without taking the combi out from your pocket will be pretty hard/impossible?

TIA
